I'm currently exhaust shopping and in the quest to find one. I saw on apex's site that they were going to offer a S-Pipe. So I elected to give them a phone call.
Well I asked the guy about it and he said they made one out of Aluminum i think, finished the prototype and everything slapped that sob on the car took it to the dyno and saw NO gain what so ever. He said the largest they could make it was 2.5inches with that kindof bend. Then he said they tried another route. They took the stock Cast Iron one and ported it. He said they were able to achive about 30% more flow after about 300$ in labor and took it back to the dyno to see NO gain in horsepower or tq whatsoever. So heres my question is paying 500more dollars for a S-pipe worth it when the aftermarket companys cant really make one bigger that the stock? IMO I don't think so.
