can anyone find me an online manual for a 1998 mazda protege? specifically the part were the ecu in it is at?

No but if you search on Ebay sometimes they'll pop up. Don't get a 95 or 96 book though, those will be very different

what exactly are you asking for? do you want the ecu wiring diagram for a 98 pro?

Good luck finding that manual. I have the Workshop (dealer's) manual, but only covers General Info, Engine, Suspension, Driveline/Axle, Brakes, Transmissions, Steering, HVAC, Restraints, and Body and Accesories. However, there are other manuals that dealers use that go into much deeper explanation of the wiring, or the body work, etc. You can find these some times on Ebay, and there is always a scanned version on a disc you can on Ebay as well, but its up to you. Also, sometimes these manuals are totally useless if you do not the same scanner that dealers use. I saw one on eBay once, it was going for almost $2K!
