Damn!!! Turbo is loud- is this normal???

Been driving around for 2 days now and listening to the new additions. And it is DAMN LOUD!!!

Is it normal?????????/

all i hear is a shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh like a CAI sucking in and the turbo spooling. Its like the turbo never existed before. I can hear it with the windows closed and radio on.

I checked for leaks and tightened everything to the fullest and i know thats not it. however my CAI Filter is pressed up on the frame but i don't think that has anything to do with the sound.

also when i turn of the car you can hear the echo and slight his of air settleing. is this normal as well?

Car rides fine just want to make sure its suppose to be that loud!

With the Injen CAI, you get a lot more noise from the turbo spooling up.

Big enough? Good thing air goes out, otherwise you'd be sucking in small children and dogs and stuff...of course, you let it sit long enough, you could prolly blow a mouse outta there...that would be pretty freakin cool...hrmm, new sport? Shooting shit outta the BOV? nah, prolly hurt the car.lol.

Yeah i just took my lunch break and played with the BOV. The RS is awesome!!! I have that thing half way up and absolutely no stalling!!!! I had it about 10 threads and it would dip to about 500rpms or little less but no bogging! i put it at around 7threads or so and it slows at 1K and slowly goes to 750!!!!!!

And yes i guess it is the turbo spooling up. its just such a drastic difference with the CAI and hardpipes it took me by suprise!!!!!!

BTW that is a badass setup. makes my setup which i am so damn proud of look like a POS!!!

Oh and I got an aem intake converted to a so called "short ram". Hearing that sucker spool is noisy as all hell. I can really tell when I am in boost or not now.(don't have a guage yet, lol)
