it pains me to put steelies on my car. thankfully it will most likely not have an engine by the time the winter gets over so i wont even have to worry about it!!!

Yea, I don't like the steelies either...But what you gonna do....Since it has been raining lately I have fun all over the side of my car (New subdivision) so someone asked me if I just went off roading....I just smiled and said "hell no"

If there's anything cool about having steelies (as opposed to some 16" stock wheels from a lesser vehicle) it's that mostly everyone knows why you have them on and that you most likely have a pretty sick set of wheels hangin around till the springtime. That can't necessarily be said for cars with an average set of wheels.

On a side note... cops and cabs have them. silver caps that go on the center portion of their respective steelies. Anyone know where I can get my hands on some of these?

what about our state full of cars with crappy motegi wheels? I can't believe you live in CT and make a statement like that. I've seen cars around here with anywhere between 1-3 17" wheels and 1-3 15" steelies on.

(notcool) I am buying mine tonite. WI winters can get bad.
I cant afford anything else right now. Maybe I will get some spinner wheel covers for a joke and do a photoshoot (now that would be cool) !!!

But they are worth the investment. rather dish out money on those than my deductible.

not really sure I follow what you're saying... but I'll reiterate just the same.

Since the MSP is a pretty rare care (unlike the Sti's of the world -and no, I'm not putting them in the same class- of which everyone and their grandma seem to at least know about) it's fair to say that, when seen, not a lot of people would be able to pick it's stock wheels out in a lineup. That being said, with an average set of 16" wheels, many people would easily assume that THOSE were indeed the stock wheels. Is this a bad thing? I suppose it's a matter of how you look at it. There certainly is a difference when compared to the same exact car with an ugly set of steel wheels (the type that just SCREAM "these are my snow tires so fuck off!") Now before people start getting on me for obviously caring what others think about my wheels... let's not forget about one of the many reasons we got an MSP in the first place. (the RH wheels) By putting on an average set, because of it's rarity, many would just assume those were the stock wheels. (hense, the car becomes far less cool) whereas, with steelies, ironically the mystique is kept in tact.

But who really gives a shit? I'm only going on about this cuz Dex called my steelies gay! I'll have you know that I recently caught one of them in bed with an entire set of jetta wheels! That should prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that they're not gay! ... not that there's anything wrong with that. ::::takes another hit off the crack pipe::::

spinner hub caps huh? I think Wal-Mart just rolled em back to $12.46. As an added bonus, they come with a lifetime supply of polly-o string cheese.

(they still make that crap?)

I think I am going to get 4 different hub cab's for my steelies, and 1 of them is going to be a spinner!

1. Go to bar.
2. Spend 60 dollars on mixed drinks and shots. I prefer Jack and Coke and Jager Bombs.
3. Go find cop car.
4. Take center caps
5. Put center caps on the MSP.

chrome rims AND the chrome center hub... now we're talkin!! on a similar note, some dude on this forum painted the outer edges of his tires orange to match his car... that looked pretty sweet

My buddie has a Black 89 323 GTX (lucky bastard) and he got a set of used aluminum rims and painted them yellow.

Looks very hot and was about the same price as steelies.
