Great kit... I must say :)

Only problem I am having right now is that the car isn't going over 5psi (when it even hits it). Alot of times when it should be boosting it's still in vacuum. I've turned the boost controller up to more pressure... still no change. I've taken the bc off... and still no change. I've check all the connections everything's fine. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? I miss my boosting :(

def. sounds like you have a boost leak somewhere between one or more of the couplers. Make sure the BC is set back to whatever it was prior to you raising the boost.

see i've been thinking it's a leak somewhere... dunno. I'm taking the car over to a friends shop and he's gunna help me out with it. But I would still like to figure out what the problem is before I get around to it. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the BOV that was supplied as well... It's completely closed shut... so I would hope not.

Probably not.

Does the car actually feel like it's hitting higher boost or do you feel more power when you put your foot down, not to make myself sound like an idiot but have you checked your boost guage connection? If it's still hitting vacuum you might want to check that out first then look for possible boost leaks.

Definately a leak. you will amlost always read vac if you have a leak in the line, however if you do have a leak you will not read as much boost. I agree before you put your boost controller back on make sure it is where it was before. You should actually gain one PSI of boost with everyting installed correctly. Just check all of your connectors and make sure they are clamped tight. Also it wouldnt be the bypass valve, cause if it were stuck closed the air would just never relese, but you wouls still see boost

Make sure that the diaphragm in the BOV is seating properly in its groove. If it isn't it will be leaking back into the intake. Also, make sure that the vaccum line to the BOV is getting the right vaccum/boost amount.

Juan... the diaphram was seated fine. It seems the bpv you sent me had a small crack on the outside. Thus creating the leak. We took my intake off and disconnected the MAF and ran a SHIT TON of air through the pipes and found the fault. Don't worry about it though, my friend took care of the problem and we're soon going to be slapping a greddy on there shorthly. I do need to speak with you about your new turbo upgrade though. I've got some movement in mine that I'm going to be needing to take care of. So e-mail me some info or just respond to this post. Thanks :P

If it is a faulty component, please send it back for a refund, replacement or credit for the upgrade to a Type S

I'm not that worried about it man. The MSP is a project car and besides it was a 100 dollar part heh.... if the pipes were all busted up and what not then we would have a problem (actually the aluminum pipe that connects to the t/b had a small ding in it, but that was fixed too). The part was welded for the time being and is soon to be replaced so no worries on my part. Like I said though I am goign to need to be looking at a new turbo here shortly and know you guys at hiboost got a few tricks up your sleeves. So let me know what the deal is :)

you would want to have upgraded the hks anyway....but I would take him up on the credit for the part. Thats like $100 off of your turbo upgrade....

no real need to upgrade the hks... it's not like a super improtant component for my car as of yet :) i had planned on replacing it anyways (like noted above) so heh... i'm not that concerned. it's too much of a headache for me right now to try and take the part off ship it back, replace the part, etc.... 100 bucks isn't that much money when you're spending a grand for a new turbo upgrade :P /* not trying to sound arrogent or anything :) */

Does anyone know where I should run, the hose that comes on the HKS BOV to ??

ANd is there a specific vacuum hose I should connect to the BOV... thanks..
I have some ideas to get around this .. but would like some input . Thanks

use the vacuum line that went to the stock bpv and hook it up to the HKS. or take off that line and use the provided line.
