all day.

Just within the past few days my car has developed a problem. My car has just over 41K on the odo, and just like clockwork a problem arises. Since the warrenty is over, I need some good ideas.
My front end is making a large BUMP, CLUNK, THUMP sound whenever I run over even the slightest imperfection on the road. I think, pretty sure, that is is the front left. But it also happens on the right side just not as loud. I even get a clunk when the car moves left to right or viisa versa.

I have Eibach springs on stock struts and the only thing I have come up with so far is maybe a blown strut. But would that really make the sound I am hearing? Any help is good help

Pop the hood and check the strut rod nuts. I have a feeling that they aren't tight enough.

If you have just over 41k on the odometer, you're still in warranty. 3 years/50k miles..... other than that, end links?? Or what xelderx said. Just a thought. :)

It soundsl like your strut bearing is gone. I had mine changed a few times. I was told it was cause of the extreme drop on my car. Mine go every 5k with my springs. Next year I'll swap out the suspension. The parts are only about 10-12 bucks each side and about 60 to install both. That's what happend to me.

Check tie rods and endlinks also.

so do you replace your struts often or somthing? cuz i was wondering if you put springs on without struts ud only get like 6 mos max. but how much are stock shocks?as a cheap alternative until i can save up for full suspension i was thinking about maybe just getting springs.

I checked the endlinks and all related items. I'm leaning towards the possibility that it's the tie rod. The strut is definately shot though...

Skinnyjoint, lowering your car will shorten the life of your stock struts. Given this new development with my car it appears to be time to invest in some nice Tokico's.

You know I can get the factory struts.... special price for you ;) lol, but at any rate, part numbers are... (these are for 02, 03 should be the same)

Fronts: BN5V-34-700
BN5V-34-900

Rears: B30P-28-700B
B30P-28-900B

Rear could be different depending on production date, but if I'm not mistaken, these will be for your car..... :) I could get them for you for about $190.00 + tax for all 4......

41k miles and your warranty's out?? I thought 03's got bumped up to 4yr/50k. if so, slap your stock springs back on, and go get yourself some warranty work done.

oh, and yeah, I'm back.............

Your strut(s) are shot man. Grap some Tokico HP's for pretty cheap.

Any one know the part number for the front strut bearings? Mine have been shattered for a while.
