Well my shift boot is cracking next to my shifter...the damb plether sucks.

so i went to mazda and asked them for a new boot, and the service writer said that the shift boot is a wear item like brakes and tires. when he said that i just got so pissed of that i didnt want to deal w/ it.

then on my way home i thought about it some more and got more pissed:mad: . i should have asked the guy " what do u expect me to get a new boot every 20K shifts?"

i honestly think that mazda has the worst coustomer service out of any manif.
most dealerships/ companies will go out of there way to sadasfy there coust. but not mazda.(dark)

i seriusly will never consider buying another new mazda in my life. i will buy a miata or a rx-7, but nothing that will have warranty so i dont have to deal w/ there $hit.

sorry for having it being so long. i had to let it out

good time to go grab a shaundarbie leather boot. Hell evne a vinyl one. the vinyl itself is 10times nicer than factory. Plus you get less slack, and stitching of your choice.

yeah I love my vinyl shaundarbie one with silver double stitching. the stock one just plain sucks, I threw mine out even though it was totally intact

Thanks, guys! Yep, even my vinyl boots are WAY better than stock. I've had one of my leather boots on my 626 for a little over a year now, and it still feels and looks brand new.

I won't be taking orders for another 2-3 weeks, however, as my mom is once again coming out to help take care of the twins.

BTW, Snowman, I'm in UT, just down in Provo.

Yeah, I took my stock boot off about 4 months after I got the car and put on a suede short shifter boot, I love it. Definitely recommend getting an aftermarket boot, esp. if you have a SS.
