That system is the Borla set-up. It has the same part number as the borla system.

No, I do not hove any sound clips, but I would imagine it sounds like the Magnaflow system which has sound clips on the web sight. Systems with a bigger diameter are not going to sound as ricey as a system with regular pipes and a aftermarket muffler.

As far as it being cheaper, like I said, it uses the same part # as the Borla, contact the place and see what they say.

So which size tubing are you guys who plan to get a turbo going with....

Too much back pressure with 2.25inch? or you think it'll be ok...

I was going to get the cat-back first, but I might wait 'till I hear some results with the soon to be released turbo kits....

Also I've only seen the Borla and Magnaflows with 2.25 inch tubing...

Anyone? (eyeballs)

PS...... is this still an issue with a good header?

Alright, the borla and magnaflow sytems are designed with 2.25" tubing, the stock systems diameter is less. If you use the stock system piping up to the muffler and change the stock muffler out with an aftermarket it will sound ricey. The magnaflow and borla systems are designed to be deeper sounding than the normal rice wagon, because of the bigger diameter.

So, the answer is no, it will not sound ricey compared to a honda, it will be deeper sounding.

turbo would opt at least 3 inch. N/A i'd stay somewhere near 2.5 if you plan on doing engine mods after warrenty period.

FYI guys Draxas ( www.draxas.com ) offers a catback w/ 2.5inch piping. Also, they offer a package with a high flow cat as well. They were out of stock 2 days ago, but are takin gorders and should be back soon.

PS-Do you guys think that 2.5inch piping will be ok for the turbo?? I dont really want to wait for the turbo kit to come out for people to make 3inch piping to support it, I'd prefer to get the exhaust now. Would it be better to just get a custom one done? But I heard they arent as good? Any input?

depends on the turbo size and how much boost you plan on running thru it. for turbo applications you want big exhaust cause untill the turbo spools you are gonna be slower than stock. You wanna get the gasses out of the car as fast as you can. Turbo is a restriction till you reach the turbos max. reason when autoxing lesser N/A cars will out run them. when you goo to big a diamater on N/A cars the ehhaust is cooled down before it leaves the car. Hotter gasses are ligher than colder gasses. reason you mightsee some people heat wrap the entire exhaust system all the way back to the tips.

Ya, but ive learnt over my years of forum use, to alwasy search for an answer before asking a question. I couldnt find something that firmly answerd if this borla system would fit a 08 Mazda3 sedan.

Would figure another thread would have popped up in the search before this one did. I barely remember replying to this thread. Is this area like the 6 section where recent n/a threads are a rare find.
