Need to find a good switched power wire for my V1. Anyone know of an easy one to find under the dash?

And how do I get the wire under the headliner to the windsheild- seems easier to run up the pillar, then I can tuck it under the front of the headliner.

to get to the wire just take apart the light assembly...
this may be more work but itll look a hell of alot cleaner. you can just lossen the headliner forward. Just take the two front pillars off and unscrew the oh shit handles and that shuld give you enough room.

Unfortunately not right now, my camera batteries are dead.
Nobody knows an easy to find switched wire under the dash? Its easy to run the wire hidden from there to the windshield.

theres a ton of wires under the dash... theres a sticky in the electronics section of color codes that should do you right.

I saw that, although its like trying to read chinese. Can't figure out what wire to tap. Thanks for trying, I'll have to spend some time looking at it.

Seems like it would be hard to find a ground back there?
Mr. Win

there should be two wires in the back of the cig lighter... 12V and Ground.

That would be good. How to run out from behind the center console?

you could do several ways... if you wants you could run it over and out the a pillar or you could go through the defroster vent.

Pulled out the cigarette lighter, of course the wire is only just long enough to reach it. Wire came unplugged from it. I can only get one hand in there to grab it (barely) so I can't get the tap on the wire or anything else. Anyone know how to remove some of the trim in order to reach it? I got the cupholder out, but can't get off anything else. :(

Got the wire tapped and ran the ground & power wire for the V1 under the passenger side dash and up under the a-pillar and stuffed it under the headliner. Looks tight and the V1 works fine.
Only problem- can't get the plug back into my cigarette lighter (can't reach it), so it doesn't work. I guess I'll have to pull apart the console to do that, but I'm out of time for it today and have to figure out how. Maybe I'll combine it with a short shifter install and kill 2 birds with one stone.
