OK, just got my APEXi Turbo Timer and I was wondering if anybody knew how to install this and reading the indstructions, its says something about a "Vehicle Specific Harness (sold seperately)" Whats that and where can I get it if I do need it? I am going to be attempting to do this with a friend who works on car electronics, never a turbo timer, but plenty of ecu equipment. Any suggestions? thanks

there is no specific harness for our cars. you basically have to hack into the stock wiring harness. i have installed a couple different ones, from different companies and all the wiring has been the same color. you should be able to use this website http://church56.tripod.com/blitz.html to help you . it tells you which color to go where. just correspond the color with wiring harness and directions from your specific TT
basically you just need to know this from the stock wiring.. there are pics on the site posted above to show you how to find the wiring you need. I dont know if you will need the boost part of the directions so disregard them if you dont need them.
RED = constant 12V
BLUE = Ignition Start 12V
BLACK/WHITE = Accessory 12V</pre>

Under the Passenger carpet. You will need a 10mm and be careful of the plate. It's very sharp!

No, Just the plastic by the floor vent. Pull the inner tab on the tab that holds it in place and remove. The right side will come off the same after you pull on the door sill.

on the TT help tip, I have a Blitz one and for about 3 months the light turned on, and one day it just stopped. Any thoughts? I love the TT itself, it's got great functions and I'm sure it's probably a loose wire or something. Has this happened to anyone?

I would check the wiring, Could be a bad ground. Was it soldered in or just with Bullet clips?

i got the tt on and it is working great, only thing that confused me was i couldn't get a listing for a ground wire at the ecu, so i just grounded it to the chasis and it is working fine. i thought the a/f ratio and o2 voltage functions wouldn't work, b/c that is what it said in the APEXi manuel, but they seem to be working fine. Bad side is no alarm, but it usually doesnt need to run that long since i dont drive hard that often, so i take my time getting out of the car, it runs for about 30 secs then i hit the alarm as i walk away, besides i live in a nice enough area, i should be fine with just locking the doors if it runs for too long. i have it on an auto setting so it determines the proper amount of idle time. its pretty cool.

Cut and insulate your orange wire on your alarm module (pin 6) and the blue/white wire on your remote door lock module (behind the back seats) and your alarm will arm with your car running.

cool, thanks, any problems with it going off for no reason when the engine cuts? Can I insulate with a wire nut? Just checking. Where is the module behind the back seats?
