getting a rattle at 2600 rpms...

Heres the deal. just recently my engine started making some funky ass noises. when i rev up to approximately 2600 rpms, i get this buzzing noise, but if i hit it harder or softer it goes away. im thinkin its either my header (which ive had to retighten a few times) or possible the VTCS rattle, but doesnt that only occur during the warm-up times?

also i get what almost sounds like rubbing when i hit the gas. this also just started recently, but i remember it happening in the past. i thought my tires were rubbing at first, but it only does it when i hit the gas

any ideas?

My car does make that rattling sound but only while warming up(03 P5). There is a TSB out about it but it may not apply to your car. When they flashed mine it got a bit better but did not eliminate the prob. I just deal with it.
