Did anybody else have a bitchin hard time getting their OEM bushing off? Because the cat was in the way I couldn't get the rod off the bolt so that I could use the bolt to push the old bushing out of the rod, took me forty five minutes to cut the old bushing out with a razorblade. Two minutes to put it back together with the Kartboys. Pretty impressed with the result though, can really feel a difference, I wasn't expecting that. Any easy way to get the OEM exhaust hangers off? That's what goes on tonight: Kartboy exhaust hangers, Injen CAI, and Apexi Turbo Timer. Anybody have the Apexi timer? pleased with it? how's the install?

I had the same problem this weekend with the Kartboy bushings. Had to cut the old bushings out with a utility knife. And I did the same thing with the exhaust hangers.
Good luck.

I didn't have this problem when I changed my wifes bushings out. I think I took out the metal bushuing that is there and then the bar came off the bolt... then used the bolt to push the rubber bushing out...

mine weren't that hard to come off, just some wd-40 and a good pull and it come off, I don't have the hangers, but i doubt they would be any harder

WD-40 is the key, and like TxSpeed59 said, take out the metal center and use the post as a punch.

the stock exhaust hangers are not hard to remove with a little WD-40. the Kartboy hangers are easy to get on, but a bitch to get off again.

I didnt use wd40, but I did take the center out, and it was still a bitch! Things never go as easy for me as they say in the instructions. :(

dont forget you guys with P5's and ES's, MSP has 2 cats on the downpipe, that's why it's so hard to take the bushing out. no room.
it makes it much easier with aftermarket downpipe.

Dishsoap helps with the stock hanger removal.

Thanks everybody for the responses, I was in too much of a hurry last night with the bushings, but it was too hard with the cat in the way, I couldn't even get the rod off the post to push the bushing back through like it says on Kartboy.com. Should have thought about some lube, probably would've helped. for sure going to use some on the hangers tonight. But that razorblade worked pretty well too. just can't reuse those old bushings. i am saving up $ for new downpipe and probably going to go all out with a turbo back package, but that won't be for a couple of months and I have to have a cat for emisions, otherwise the job would have been easier.
