i decided to finish off the back, and want to do a cf trunk and this wing (sti s202 cf REPLICA so technically wouldn't be rice) it's just impossible to find a similiar wing and in this quality. Neways need opinions thnx :) But i might just get it anyways lol...

I actually think it would look pretty nice on your car. Being that you got the Carbon Fiber Hood, and soon to have Carbon Fiber trunk. I personally don't like the Aluminum look, but Carbon Fiber is pretty darn nice. I say go for it. (2thumbs)

hmm imo, if u get a cf trunk, leave it empty. from a practial way of looking at it, u put a wing on it, im almost certain ull crack the cf on the trunk because of the downforce/pressure on the wing. that is a nice wing imo though, its nice and suttle.

ya i really like those APR wings but its just too big, it works fine for sti's, evos but i'm a protege, it kinda clashes and ppl think rice automatically. I just want something different, looks nice and functional.

edit: dam ya thts pretty nice but alittle too aggressive? lol yes i'm picky... :P

i would leave the stock spoiler on it and then think of some type of paint scheme to have it all flow with the cf and spicy orange

I like it. I have seen quite a few cf trunks on different proteges and I say stay away. The rest is hot though. Perhaps a little on the rice side with the non stock wing, but that would be the only nonstocker I would choose.

screw that man.. there is honestly nothing with a little "rice". I mean lets be real here.. these are JAPANESE cars. Rice is the foundation of them :) Have some fun with it but make sure you got the horsepower and torque to back up the look. All Sho no Go - Rice.

I say you leave your stock Trunk or get a CF one and paint it, and get a lip rear spoiler, like the IS300's have :D. Your ride is clean, keep it looking that way!

I found this today on cirucit sports web site, and it was the only MSP i have seen with an aftermarket rear wing other than the wings west. Looks similar to what you are trying to accomplish... I kinda like it. And I applaude your effort to be different, yet remain as tasteful and non-ricey as possible.

I live the evo wings as well... with the CF/painted look. I would say APR is the way to go though. The one you pictured would be better for a CF trunk as it would hide cracking, if any occured.

I have seen them as low as 150 dollars. And from what I read on the wrx forums they are really good quality.

imho, the protege looks sick w/o a wing when it is dropped and has a body kit, be it the OEM MSP/MP3/P5 kit or aftermarket. I plan on removing my wing when I find someone that wants to trade trunks or I find a trunk in good shape for cheap.
