Anyone else have this problem? Calling Mazda tomorrow, warranty issue I guess.

yup, every once in a blue moon the resistors go bad on the switches.

osunds kind weird. even if there is air on at high, it sounds more like a clog in the line, or a line fell off...

this happened to me shortly after I bought my car. It turned out to be a 400 dollar job. The blower motor had to be replaces.

either the resistor that lets it run at below full speed is screwed like blkzoomzoom said or the motor is screwed up and wont run at anything but full power
hopefully it's the former. does it blow as hard as it always did on full?

100% resistor. same thing happened to me. just get it fixed. its not a big job.

I didnt mean vacum controlled, I was talking about the actual piping that the ait goes through. I have a friend woth a pos ranger, and the pipe that connects o the vent just fell off. I was hoping that was all that it is....
