I would like to see some pics of the MSP's with aftermarket Wheels. I am thinking of getting some new wheel come spring. I also think is would be a great sticky, and then we will have one place with a bunch or pics for reference.
Thanks in advance,
Boomergt

Here's mine:
http://home.nc.rr.com/candcm/MSP/index.html
Kosei TS 17x7 (silver painted) w/ 42mm offset and Fuzion ZRi 225/45/17 tires. Each wheel was 6-7 lbs. lighter than stock RH's with the same wheels.

I like the rims but I think it makes the msp look like a wrx a little from the sides, kinda loses the originality of the msp.

Just depends on your priorities... Mine were 1. lightweight, 2. good offset choice(s), 3. no unused lug holes, 4. price, and 5. looks.
I like the more aggressive look. I also like the way the WRX looks from the side. So, thanks for the compliment! The pix don't do it justice. Plus, the handling is much improved. Only issue was that I had to roll the rear fenders... but that's mainly because of the bigger tires.
P.S. Thanks Boomer.

Wheels are a very personal choice, proper fit is more important, some wheels just don't fit the speed...the real reason to change wheels is to lower the rotational mass/unsprung weight...the kosei's there look to have gotten it right.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/DisplayWheel.jsp?wheelMake=Kosei&wheelModel=K1+TS&wheelFinish=Silver+PaintedThose Kosei's are by far the best for auto-x but with a +42mm offset they would take the MSP out of Stock Class, a definate NO for me.
If anyone's looking for a set here is an e-bay deal

What's the offset of our stock wheels?
Anybody care to quickly explain what the offset actually is?

I was about to create a post like this myself.... I was curious to see Titanium MSP's with wheels. I can't seem to find any wheels I think will look good on one of these cars...

nice and simple, how much they weigh?

Stock offset is 55mm. More general info on offset here: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/offset.htm
Stock tire size is 215/45/17
I used 225/45/17 and had rubbing on the insides with the Racing Hart's. I put 5mm spacers between the wheel and hub, effectively changing my offset to 50mm. That still rubbed a little on the inside. 45mm would have been my first choice. However, The Kosei's had 42 or 50... and the best weight to cost advantage.
With the 42mm offset, there is NO rubbing on the front but definite rubbing in the rear on the fender lip. So, I had the rear lips rolled which fixed the issue.

Not really an MSP but damn close...

they are 18" and maybe a little on the heavy side, i don't think they are made anymore, but im sure there are similiar rims out there. In a dark color like graphite or gunmetal they would look good too...

mavespeed: To my surprise, those look great on your car. I think it's because you don't have tint, so my suggestion would be to not get that (if you can stand it).
I Boost: Those black SubZs look good. I wanted those in gold or bronze way back when.
HPF: Choosing wheels is a very involved decision, but I have found that Titanium Gray makes it especially difficult.
lamp3: I was considering those for myself at one point. They look good & are very affordable, but I just don't feel comfortable investing $$ on a brand that I have never heard of/don't have 100% trust in. As the saying goes...you get what you pay for. Good luck with your decision.
mp3josh: You already know that I love your wheels. I know that they are no longer in production, but the only ones I found were silver...I assume you had yours PCed? I hate to tell you, but I think that full CF lip looks awful on every car I've seen it on...the normal CF lip would have been a much better choice IMO (see YP5 Toronto's car).

they are not powdercoated ...they were painted very carefully by me before i sold them to him lol ...the pic of my car with blue wheels are the same ones he has now ...if you got the silver ones you could paint them very easily...the one josh had were white when i got them but i hated them so i painted them black .then blue, then back to black...
