Almost one year!

Right now, as of Dec 8th, the odometer is sitting at 29,940 miles. I purchased the car on Dec 16th, 2003 with about 15 - 20 miles on it (most put on by me durring test drives). Crazy eh? This includes:
-commute to UH campus 2 to 3 times a week (used to be 30 miles each way, now 17 because of moving)
-since May 4 to 5 days a week driving to the office (good 20 miles each way)
-5 trips to San Marcos (300+ miles each trip)
-1300 mile drive to Cedar Point (Sandusky, OH)
-same drive back home...
countless random waste of gas trips last winter because my car was new and fun to drive

I drive to freaking much. Since the move about 2 months ago, both school and work commutes have been shortned signifigantly. This is good! Hopefully I won't be anywhere near 60,000 in another year.

Sorry for the ramblings, just happy that the one year "b-day" for my car is almost here.

1st yr...i put 4K miles on it.
my college and work commute was 3 miles........hahahaha

4.5 yrs, i have about 28K

Yea i hear you on the miles, i've put on 15k since april....i drove the car a lot when i first got it and in the summer, but the last 2 months or so i've cut down a lot. And i also drive the car a lot easier lately rather than beating on it all the time.

Wow, I didn't realize until I saw this thread, but it is 2 years TO THE DAY for me.:D Car was purchased on 12-8-02.

Even without knowing, my car got a full wash, vac, oil change, and engine bay cleaning today. I guess I knew in the back of my mind to give her a nice anniversary present.:D

I hear ya about the miles. I put 50,000 on in a little over a year and a half. Averaged about 100 miles a day because of my job. Now my new job is a lot closer and I'm only putting on about 30 a day.

yup, almost her one year birthday for me as well....baught her this time last year with 8 miles on it and she now has 15,XXX and i STILL love every minute!!!! Long live the MSP!
