Check this out...I am leaving class at the local junior college today and some jackass decides to pull out in front of me. I was doing about 60 mph when he made this decision with me about 4 car lengths from him....I had to slam on brakes and swerve to the right not to hit him but in the process hit the curb on the side of the road and gashed my right front rim and took out a chunk of the tire. (I think he was doing a little bit of this (jerkit)). I am so pissed and I think I am going to buy some new rims. But I am not sure if I want to go with some 18s or just go back with stock 17 size. What would look the best??? (I am going to go with black rims...I think it will look good with the yellow)

IMO..black rims would look good w/ smaller wheel size like a 16 or a 17" Get some super light 16" rims and sticky tires. Like the 5zigen fn01R-C or Gram Lights

What is your budget for the replacements?
My opinion is yellow car + black rims = school bus. but tons of people like dark rims with light colored cars so stick with your personal opinion and search the forum and web for a look you like.

might want to get an alignment while your at it, and check that the suspension didnt get tweaked.

Budget is not really a concern for me because my grandparents own a tire shop in the area... which is where I work....So I can get stuff pretty cheap.

I think I am going to go with some 17s...I am not a really big fan of 16s. I found some black 5 spoke 17x7 rims that only weigh 15.7 lbs each...the 18s just like them weigh 17.5 lbs each.

The suspension seems to be fine...I can't notice a pull either way left or right so I don't think I am out of alignment but I get them done dirt cheap so I think I will get it checked just in case...The main problem is I think my tire got messed up in the process..and from where I think the hole is, I know that it is not fixable...Too close to the bead.

I dunno... I've never been a black wheel (with out machined or polished lip) on a bright car. you get the school bus look... but ad a lip to the mix and it looks good.
