Knock noise in left wheel

I have a 03 Protege DX with around 12,600 miles on it and ever since I bought it I notice it makes a knock noise when I hit a decent size curb but only when I make a left hand turn and hit the bump not when I drive on the road. I am not really concerned cuz the front end is tight but when I took it to the dealer they couldn't get it to make the noise since they were running over small curbs it has to be a curb about 1.5 to 2" off the ground. They checked my front end and said everything was ok. But I want to take it back in before the warranty is up but I have no clue on what to tell them to look at. I don't know what would make this noise. The right wheel doesn't make this noise at all so I know its the front left wheel.

your bushings are prob gone and the whole thing is moving...

Jack it up and grab the wheel top and bottom and see if there is any play or if it makes any noise. Also try grabbing on the sides.

Yup to senor, the bushing that is busted is called the foward thrust bearing. Get those replaced and it should go away. I need to do the same, but they are 20 bux a pop from the dealer.

Thanks I know the sound it makes is only when the suspension goes up like in hitting a bump cuz the steering doesn't make no noise at all just when i hit a decent size bump making a left hand turn.

Mine does the same and I have an 03.5 MSP. Sometimes you hit a bump and BAMN, loud as hell sound. Anyway, does anyone have a picture of what it looks like, the forward thrust bearing that Moeed is talking about. $20 isn't anything and I would rather do it myself then have the dealer do it... probably 3 days without car when I could do it in a day, but I would like to see what this thing is first. Anyway, hit me up and let me know guys, thanks. I mean post it..hehe!
