I brought my car in this morning for:
Loose/Rattling Subwoofer Deck
Car pulls to the left
Warped Rotors
Front and rear Lip falling off
Muffler Cracked
Bubble in sidewall of right rear tire(road hazard warranty)
oil change(have coupons for oil changes that came with car)

All the messed up stuff is warranty work, so I shouldnt have to pay anything, right? Is there any kind of nominal Deductible or anything? I wanna make sure I know my stuff before I go back. I just called cuz its been 6 hours and they havent called me and the guy who dealt with me was out, so another guy pulled the file and asked if anyone called me with an estimate. I was like no...(and was thinking, estimate, WTF? I shouldnt be paying for anything.) It could just be that this other guy doesnt realize what is going on, but I want to make sure I dont get bamboozled when i go in, and also that Im not arguing over stuff that I shouldn't be.

depends on how many miles you have for the warped rotors. I think after 12k miles they are not covered under the warranty anymore.

mazda has a 12 month/12000 mile 'adjustment period' for wear parts such as rotors and alignment and clutch and (i think) brake pads. After that they are all considered 'wear items' and are not covered under warranty.

Guess what, just picked the car up. Sub deck fixed(even can hear more bass now that they insulated it), rotors all turned, and muffler ordered. Pulling to the left deemed to be caused by the uber worn tires. Right rear is definitely damaged, but the service rep is working with the warranty company to cover all four tires(I need them badly)...

grand total: $0

yes, covered under WARRANTY, exactly;)

also, they filled my tank up with gas, which is more than I can say for the dealership I bought the car from:rolleyes:

dang, looks like they take care of their customers up there.(werd) but please note, this is S&S Towson Mazda on Joppa Rd. i bought the car at S&S mazda on Belair Rd. They are the ones who didnt fill up the tank, and their service manager accused me of backing into a curb to damage the muffler:rolleyes:

Towson Mazda is the same dealer where I bought my P5.

dealership just called and said they got my "parts" in...Must be the muffler. I asked how long it would take to decide whether to wait for it or not. I was expectring the truth, 15minutes(actual time to replace axleback) or to say a a blanket "one hour"...Nah, she says it'll be at least a half a day(shocked)...guess Im dropping it off then

make sure the gas they put in is 91 or higher.
u'll detonate on 87 at stock boost.

we had a guy here about year ago, went to a full service gas station and the service guy there filled his MSP with 87. shit detonated left and right.

that's what the service guy said to me, so i got my dad to come down with me and they were gonna give him a rental and i'd drive his car. we went in to sign the papers, and the rental guy was like "sign here here and here" and i was like "well my dad is really gonna be driving it, should he sign?" the guy goes "you don't need him, 21 is good enough" and i got a free car for the day :)

I bought my car from S&S in Towson and they are okay, by no means excellent. When I bought the car, it took them 3 hours to get the accessories of my trade-in correct. Example, they would forget to add little stuff like power locks, windows, airbags. I finally had to sit with the guy at the computer and tell him, it has this, and this, and so on. Got there at 4, left at midnight with my car, granted, it was still on the truck when I pulled up, but dayum!!!

When it comes to service, I will only talk to Mike R., the other guy is a complete dumbass! Before I knew of the hesitation being an ECU issue, I took him for a drive, and the rpms stopped going up at 4000rpm. He told me that's normal behavior for a turbo...whatever.

The thing that pisses me off the most about them is that I have to take the car there for them to say, "yeah, it needs fixed, but we'll call you when the parts come in". Example, my car had the alarm problem and I had to drive it there, the guy came out, looked at the car with the parking lights on and said, yep, we'll have to order that! WTF, I tell them that over the phone!!!

Oh and if you ever do get a loaner from there, don't expect anything better than an old ford escort!!!

yeah, Mike R. seems very cool. The other guy is a total idiot!
