Closest dealer told me they won't do warranty work on a Mazdaspeed. Website lists them as a Mazdaspeed dealer. Next closest wants the car for the day to "look it over". Next closest is where I bought the car - over an hour away (I used to live closer) and they want it all day Saturday because they are busy.

I've had this done 2x before, it was 20 minutes while I waited each time. Guess I'll hit the parts desk and do it myself, I'd rather waste a few bucks vs. half a Saturday.

last time they changed mine (the 2nd time) they kept it over night to "diagnose" the problem. of course it was the same problem as the first time, the bushings. the first time it took them about half a day but you get a rental of course. i say just drop it off and take the rental. it's the principle of the thing! you shouldn't have to pay.

They won't give me a rental either, bastards. And I'm not underage or anything- they just always say there are out of loaners.

I had my wife swing by the parts desk and I will change them myself tomorrow AM in 15 minutes. Problem solved, but it cost me $26, which sucks given the supposed warranty.

Wow, I can't believe what I'm hearing. I've had nothing but coorporation from my dealer. Now as far as the rental goes, that's standard procedure if you're under 25. I really have to stand up for the dealers on this one because I've never had a problem with them. Shit, they even caught my lunch one day. But obviously there is some major problems with some folks.

I'm over 25. I wouldn't call it a major problem, its more a nuisance. They will do the work, but the Mazda dealer isn't close and they want the car for the day. So I have to drive over there, get a ride back, get a ride back over in the afternoon and drive back at night (best case) They just make it difficult.

I wouldn't really care if this happened 1 or 2 times over the life of the car, but as we all know, the bushings wear out every few months!

My dealership is pretty cool too. I brought my brand new MSP in and said I have a clunk and a squeak before the problems even began. They replaced the bushings, no questions asked.

The loaner car program is part of your warranty from Mazda and they HAVE to pay for one whenever you have warranty work done. Even if it is only for a couple hours they gotta' do it. Mazda pays for it anyway so make sure you get what you already paid for in your warranty.

If you read the fine print, the loaner car program is subject to availability of loaner cars. I got one once, every other time they were out of them.

New bushings are in, they are super-ultra easy to change out. 2 bolts on each, probably 5 minutes apiece. I love how the car feels with new bushings.
