strut brackets

well i just purchased a strut bar for my 2003 lx..problem is that is was just the bar. so i was looking around for brackets, and heres some info i got from teh dealer:

FS8M-18-835 SOLONOID BRACKET $6
9994-01-003B FLANGE NUTS $1 each (4x) $4

do i really need all these parts? install instructions for vehicles with cruise doesnt mention the cruise brackets?

Oddly enough, the kits the dealers were selling, a whole batch of them went out with the wrong cruise bracket in the box, it was the same one that came on the car without the STB. You probably would have been getting that one from the dealer anyhow.

If you can buy the parts individually, you can always return (hopefully) what you don't use. I think you'll need pretty much that whole list though. I never did get mine to fit right though, even after looking at the setup on a MSP. I ended up doing some modifications with my Dremel and about half a dozen test fittings until it went on decent. Then some flat black Krylon to cover my hack job. It looks fine though, and although my underhood is kept clean it'll never be show quality anyway.

man that would be even more frustrating..casue id probably strip or snap something just to get it to fit.

But one of the vancouver members might be able to help me out... :D
