ok awhile back i posted about a little incident that i had with a curb awhile back, my right front wheel had hit a curb broadside when it wet, and no i wasnt going fast, it was down hill and i slid into it :|. anyways, i scuffed my rim up and bent my lower control arm. thinking it was only that from what me and ryan could tell, i got a used one from mazdarecycling.com. well after about a few weeks after install i started to notice a slight vibration sound, and a popping sound when i would torque the wheels or go over a big bump. now this whole month it has been getting worse, like everytime i start even from a roll leaving a stop light and no not fast it pops bad! ryan was saying that it might be the half-shaft, does anyone know what is happening or what this is caused from, do i need a new axle or what do i need to check first, its getting cold here and i dont want to have to stay under the car poking around, just rather get an idea and check that
thanks

Does it pop from a stop every time? When turning the wheel? Exactly when does it happen. Pops during turning is a bent arm -- we dont have tie rods in our cars, but it's a similar part.

Another "pop"-ish sound could be loose brake calipers, loose meaning they're moving slightly on their bolts, if not tightened.
I advise you to take a look, sorry, but there's really no other way. If it pops while stopped and turning, that's great. Get someone else to turn the wheel for you while you look underneath (FROM A STOP, dont get crushed :) ). The part that pops, you will be able to see it do so.

well it'll pop when starting to move, turning, stopping, going over speed bumps, hit pot holes. pretty much anytime but not every time like your saying with the brakes

It's a bent suspension part. which one, you dont know without looking.

Actually, if it does it going over speed bumps as well, it might indeed be a half-shaft. Do you notice any slipping in traction -- even minor -- when hitting bumps? As opposed to before the accident?

Your friend may be right. Something that occurs in this many situations is the h/s.

ive noticed that it does vear to the right more, like when i punch it or do hit a bump that it does go to the side more than it did.

If it bent the control arm it probably hurt the cv shaft and or the shock rod. I go to Universal Technical Institute in sacramento, ca; I can ask the suspension teacher about it if you would like.

Heh, this was fixed along time ago, I think it was the strut, just jacked it and and lower it and it was fine.
