loud bang

yesterday and today while i was driving i heard this loud crack sound for the back area sounded like it came from where the clunk came from but i dont know what it was. it has happen twice with in 2 days. i dont know what it could be. it was so loud that i heard it over my subs (not stock) it scared me. anyone know what this could be> my sub box is pretty heavy i mean like 125 lbs. think this could have done something to the suspension??

maybe that would expain all the bulit holes in my car. hehe. jk it was backfire at i know that. i pretty sure it was the suspesnion but i dont what i could be?

either motor mounts or rear sway bar, the sway bar thing happend to me.

i just replaced the front motor mount with awr. and i have crazy clunking sounds but this was def not a clunk.

could be your exhaust rattling. Have a friend drive the car past you so you can hear it then.

it has only happened twice so far in the past 2 days. i sounded like some threw a freaking baseball at my car. i will check out the mounts. i just dont want to be driving down the road and shit falling off my car.

I had the same sound happen to me you might want to check your rear sway bar, the weld that held my sway bar on just broke off and caused instability on my sway bar and every time I made a sharp turn or any type of turn I heard a loud clunk;sounded like shit. I took it to the dealer and the gave me a new sway bar and fixed the weld.

could your exhaust have hit something? I know my 3" system has never hit, but not all designs are the same. Is yours stock? under or over the axle? any speed bumps that it could hit clunked on?

no it is a stock exhaust for now the ghl tb is coming wed. (hump) i think its something with the sway bar too. is it a big deal if the weld broke off? reason being i am trying to get a kit on relocating the sway bar is it nec to get the bar weld again? thanks
