Ok, here's the problem. I was coming home from my girlfriend's house last night and I noticed out of the corner of my eye that my screen looked a little blander than usual. Lo and behold the spectrum analyzer was just blank. Odd I thought.

I pulled over to fiddle with it, and nothing worked. I tried turning it on/off, switching between CD and Radio, hard reset, turning the car on/off, taking the faceplate out and putting it back in, etc.

Anyone know what's wrong?

When the volume is all the way down it does not do anything. (I'm sure you tried this)

I would check the menu and see if you select a differnt display type (Speana select or whatever it is) if it still does not show up.

Yeah, lol...I had the volume up. I did fiddle around in the menu too. I made sure my display was set to s/a+clock and I even set the icon on the right to one of the spectrum analyzer one's and it was just a flat line.

Your radio doesn't like your music and it is protesting!

hehe

Thanks...lol. I'm really confused why just the spectrum analyzer would just quit working..

I already told you on AIM....it's the stereo gnomes.

Seriously, it's the only logical explanation for all of the troubles with this headunit.

Yeah I think your Gnomes need healthy Doses of "who let the dogs out", My little pony theme song, and Rainbow Brite theme song.

In that order play the songs and I think the analyzer will come back.

I have the same problem. Last week I noticed that the Spectrum Analyzer just stopped working for no reason. I tried different menu settings and different display options and nothing works. The radio works fine and the other display options still work. Bump for a fix.

Yay, I'm not alone! Yeah, everything else works perfectly fine for me also....just flatlined SA.

Thats funny mine did the same thing a week ago and yes my volume was up. It finally came back when i restarted the car. I would also like to know what the deal is.

Yours came back? Hmmm, I wonder if mine will too. I haven't driven my car since last night so I'll see when I get home (I commute). I might try to unhook the battery and pump the brakes a few times to drain the system to see if a full power reset might help...

Just so you know you are not alone. Mine went out about a month ago. I am going to bring it back to the dealer. It should be covered under warranty since its a factory installed piece.

Battery idea didn't work either. Oh well, I'll think of a new unit when it really acts up.
