Anyone have a pic of an MSP that has been de-winged?

Thinking about losing the wing on my 03.5 ti gray. Attracts too much attention to the car, IMO. I guess I could fill the holes and repaint. Or, I could get a new (or used, I suppose) lid off a normal protege and paint to match. Maybe I'd shave all the badging off the back and maybe just run a VW "Turbo" badge back there- whaddya think?

it does look clean, give it time, someone on here has a titanium de-spoilered...it looks really nice and clean, and the thought has crossed my mind, but the money factor of filling the holes and paint has made me decide that I like my spoiler...lol

Personally I like the wing on the MSP's.... It's different than most anything out there. I can see why people would want to take it off.

I'd say it's pretty much up to you if the cost of shaving the holes and repainting is worth it. A carbon fiber trunk is an option also. But that doesn't really help bring down the attention level. :)

Shit, it's like ten holes os something. I like the wing. I don't think it sticks out too much...especially on a titanium.

01se_to_03msp has a titanium msp without a wing. it looks bad ass i might add. in fact, her whole car is bad ass.

You're left with 9 holes total: 4 on the passenger side / 5 on the driver side. To fill the holes and repaint it'll cost around $300. I found a silver trunk for $150 I'll be picking up in a few weeks though, maybe sooner if I can find one at a yard today.

my wing was taken off by a van when i got rear ended last december. i chose not to have one put back on so they never drilled holes in the trunk for it .

Writing in the dirt on your paint will cause small scratches in it. But other than that your msp looks great.

Yeah I know but the whole car is getting repainted in the spring anyways b.c of my accident last year. The dirt was so thick that it didn't even go through all the layers and I washed it off right away and it was fine....Thanks btw

goldlines. the gap looks huge with the 205/40 tires on the one set of wheels i have ..i usually run 225/45/17's and they fill the gap really nicely... if you want the rear lip you have to get it custom done, mine is a one off b.c they dont make a cf lip for the sedan.
