keyless entry on P-2000 LX 1.6L [Archive]

My wife is nagging me about getting the keyless entry on her 2000 LX...

I was able to buy OEM keyless transmitters for my 'ol Honda CRV '97 and it worked just fine. My Honda already had a remote module in it though.

Does anyone know whether there is a module in Protege 2000 LX? Did anyone install any aftermarket keyless entry system? I hope I don't need to rip all interior door panels for that... :(

Its getting colder and colder here in Alaska... any help is appreciated!

yeah, i had it on my car, but i installed an after market alarm.. the module is located by the rear speakers.. have to take the back pannel off to get to it..

mazda will sell the module and remote to you, but it would prolly be cheaper to go aftermarket.
