RedlineGoods is a long-time producer of genuine, top grade Italian leather shifter and emergency brake boots for various cars. Now we would like to develop products for Protege. If someone would be willing to send us OEM vinyl boot to use as a template, we will return it along with a FREE leather replacement boot. i'll send my stock crappy tan boot, i don't even need a leather one, pleather is fine.
i just need a boot to install my ebrake handle

Is arround $2-$3 for single boot or $5-$6 for both boots.

did you do a boot for the ebrake handle too? it doesn't even come with a boot from the factory, just a rubber slot IIRC

Yeah, I ripped part of the rubber thing last time I was detailing the car. A leather replacement would be awesome.

That's a cool idea, but I donno if I'd want to cover up the gear display. I plan in the next month or so to redo the LED backlights on the dash/center console. The shifter boot would cover some of that up. E-brake would be awesome though, it looks so empty without one and I always have coins that fall into that stupid hole.

if you want to send the boot to me i can test fit it...but i have a short shifter so it might not be accurate.

how much shorter is the "shorter" version? i have the Kartboy SS, and its VERY short. a good couple inches shorter than stock....

cool, i'll try to figure it out....it will be a couple weeks though, i moved to a new position with lots of overtime...thats the only way the wife will let me spend money on my car. :D
