Anyone else want These (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1871208584) wheels? If I had the money I would be all over them :D

i was just coming into this board to start a thread called "volk wheels" but the ones you linked to are not to my liking. I like the ones like the mazdaformance.com protege has, and like the skyline in the bf goodrich ads has.......but WTF

how can non chrome, non bling bling wheels cost SOOOO much?

i looked around at like overboost.com and rays engineering and stuff and omg, they are a small fortune!

Yeah, cause they are forged aluminum for the most part and race proven. Amongst being some of the lightest and strongest in the world.

i.e. Here's my P5:

BTW, I don't believe those rims to be that light. And they are two piece wheels also.

The GT-P is one of my favorite wheels. Gotta love em. That diamond cut is insane.

I like the GT-P's, but.......Uh I forgot what I was gonna say, the polished lip had me in a trance for a sec. ;)

Beautiful rims...and if you Americans think they are expensive...imagine how us Canadians are when we have to multiply that price by about 1.6 to pay in Canadian dollars. :(

Quote from seller of rims posted above...

"The rims size is 17 X 7 +44 offset 5x114, each rim weighs in at 16.6 lbs, very light!! These are 3 pieces rims.

THE RESERVE IS SET AT 1199.00. EMAIL FOR BUY IT NOW PRICE OF 1250.00. Good luck bidding!"

So Rishie...You are saying that these are indeed 2 peice and not 3 as stated by the seller? What is the difference, why do they make wheels in more than one piece? Is it more or less cost effective? Stronger or lighter? Or is it so you can replace part of the rim without having to buy a whole new rim?

Also the seller says that those wheels weigh 16.6lb. Is that not pretty light for a 17x7 rim?

And last but not least what would your price be on these if you could get them without tires?

my 17" SSR Integrals (which are currently for sale as a matter of fact) are only 16.5 lbs each. and they only cost 300 bucks a pop new, not an absurd 650....

Im interested in TE-37s or LE37Ts. Im not sure what the differences are. I want them gunmetal or dark colored most likely though...........any price ideas?

The LE in the LE37T means Limited Edition. Those are very berutiful rims as well. But they're only available in Gunmetal and silver w/polished lip. I'm nore partial to Dark Bronze.

Rishie, Since we have you in this post what would it cost to buy a set of 4 Gunmetal TE-37's 17x7 from you?

you guys should take into consideration what Rishie has with the SSR Comps on his car. very light weight but not cheap either. damn fine wheel, has the gun metal inner section with a polished lip. not bad not bad. Rishie's prices are decent, if you could find a better deal someplace else talk to him and see if he'll price match.

Rishie has/had LE-37T's on his p5, not SSR Comps.

I do have the LE37T, not the comps. I did however have the SSR GT1's prior to the volks. The comps are a great wheel but the Volks are way better.

The comps have been rumored to be more suitable for track as opposed to uneven streets. IF you're careful you'll have no problems.

Pricing I can PM you. If you're interested please PM me with your request.

Thanks, Rishie

sorry to rub it in guys, but I have 18 inch volk gt-c's
they're great wheels if you can afford them

Volks is the shiznit. hehe. I love my Volks. They are great. Can truly see why there is such a huge price difference. Aside from being forged.

Hey, what offset did you end up getting in the GT-C 18".

Thanks, Rishie

I agree that those ones are ugly because they are the gunmetals with the polished trim
I have the polished ones, they look reeeal sharp

The fact that Section had the wallet to back his genuine taste gets MADDDD Props from me. I love 'em just cause they're forged. hehe.

If he had the Face II you'd say otherwise. The Face II has concave spokes and looks real good. You see we're used to putting these on Supras, so when someone with an MP3 would walk in and say I want some Volks. MY jaw would drop cause I don't see much if any of that. Everyone is looking for wheels and tires under $1000.00. Off wheelmax or something.

There's something to be said for one who is patient and saves money to create an all in all genuine project. On top of that he must have gotten those wheels right when they came out. Now we got all the big name replicators knocking off this wheel too.

You done good Section. To each their own.

Thanks for the kind words Rishie, I'm glad to see some people out there can appreciate quality! I would have gotten the "Face 2" wheels but last time I checked, they only came in a 17x8 which will rub on our cars. By the way, if you want to see "wallet" on a protege, check out my buddy Jaime's wheels:

http://members.aol.com/sectioneht/2pro2.jpg

Those are Advan Kruezer X they are NOT available here in the states and MUST be imported directly from Japan. And for those of you who want your own set....be prepared to shell out about $3000 for the wheels alone!

Hey Section.

We're bringing over the Advan line. If you know guys who need them let me know. I think I can give pretty damn good pricing.

Thanks, Rishie

hey man i appreciate the fact that they are volks. i am also thinking of ditching the heavy ass racing harts for a set of
Volk Racing Wheel Versus Campionato SS7 or
Volk Racing F-Zero Daytona Speed
which i find beautiful. which one do you guys think i should get?
im not really making the price a factor but with that said the Campinatos are 340 for 18x7 and the Daytonas in an 18x7 are 550 each. i like the shiney blue polish on the daytona speeds.
lemme know what yall think

Unfortunately the Daytonas and the Challenge wheels are pretty heavy. I don't believe they will save you much over the Racing Hart. I'm so sorry. Sick ass looking wheel though. I'm used to seeing the ADR GT-sports on most FWD. It would definitely be a breath of fresh air.
