I got an intake without instructions and I need to install. I only have 1 question/problem. What do you do with the pointing thing with 2 wires that is mounted on the air filter box?

I am adding pics to help you understand this?

I am just stumped on what to do with this ?????????

:wtf:

Thats the air temperature sensor.
Which intake did you get?
If it did't include a spot for it just drill a hole in the
intake pipe and place the temp sensor with the grommet. Start small on the drill bit size just to be sure.

Thanks bro,

I got a k&n cone filter with a 3 inch chrome and black pipe set up.

Not as nice as an Injen Brand though
Only 70 bucks total.

Yeah he's right - or if you have any rubber part on the intake piping (like a silicone coupling) you can just drill a hole in the rubber very small and force the sensor in the hole - forming it's own fitting and grommet.

I can guarantee you that this "Chip" is not going to give you anywhere near that kind of gain. To me, installing this kind of mod sounds like a bad idea to me that might f**k up the car. Someone tell me if I'm wrong or right here, but won't this throw a Check Engine light or something?

I dont think you'll harm the car. I think it just makes the ECU think its colder than it really is, and it advances the timing a bit to make up for it (?). You definitely will not see 20HP, maybe 1HP. Maybe nothing :D.

oops...still no one says if it is the right sensor in the attached pic...i think i'll try to install it even it may increase only 1hp... :(
