I made a post yesterday and no one responded so I will try it here in the performance area. I have a new 3 and am interested in putting a cat-back exhaust on but have a hard time finding the right avenue to locate what is available. The local performance shop said there is nothing out there from greddy, tanabe, or the like. Can anyone help with my search? (uhm)

I don't own a 3, but I think I saw a thread just the other day about a new magnaflow that was just released. Then again maybe that was for the 6 (shrug)

Currently, Borla released one, Magnaflow released one, and Draxas released one as well. Magnaflow and Borla use 2.25 piping while Draxas uses 2.5

Thanks F.B.
Any idea where the best place to go to find it, and are you happy with your cat-back.?

How do you like the Draxas system ?

I am happy with the Draxas exhaust, and the dyno they performed does not justify what I am feeling. My butt dyno tells me there's a gain thru out and the car is much smoother.
where can you get all these systems?
magnaflow has it on there website, draxas is at www.draxas.com, and borla is on ptuning.com

go custom piping with a muffler from ebay (like HKS etc, not that dual tip bullshit) and see the same gains as a name brand.

Thanks for the input guys I will look into it. One more question is the cat that comes with the draxas, a high flow or just a replacement, and are there any complications if it is. Also, did you use a muffler shop or install it yourself?

it's a hi flow cat.
I had a shop do it for me since I did not have any tools to cut out the stock exhaust, and having a lift is much easier to work then crawling under a car with jack stands.

Thanks for all of your input. Do you happen to know a maker of a front strut tower bar for our 3's? I plan to do some mod's to the suspension and this should help as well as a stiffer rear sway bar and a trunk bar. If you or anyone else has some ideas on this I would appreciate it.

I love my DraXas exhaust. I like the tone and its a quality product. The base system produced 5 fwhp, so the hi flow cat option should do well. You might check this site WWW.GTSPEC.COM after 11/24. They already have strut bars for the asian market and are testing the bars for North America on 11/24.
