How long it take you for the install? Also how much drilling did you have to do? And where did you get the kit from? I'm curious because I plan on buying the flip flop kit soon and plan on doing it myself. Also interested in seeing pics too.

costed me 6 dollars for parts at lowes.. ill get pics and try to right up a small how to to do it.. dont order the kit off the net, you can buy hinges at lowes that arebetter and stronger.. and once this is done it is not reversable unless you get a new lid because the holes with the nuts welded in place have to be drilled out to give clearace for the heads of the new bolts to hold the bracket..
took 5 hours to do, with one person helping, and in that time i also did a oilchange on GF car and help a lil bit on my friends eclipse..

looks nice......different!
that does look nice. one question, does it still close and seal good, or does the part near the window stick up a little. when i did that to mine, it stuck up a little and rattled like a mofo. plus it was a bitch to close, you had to tilt it up, then down, then slam it shut, so i just went back to stock. although, i wish it wouldve closed better, cuz i really like the way it looks.

well, i was gonna post a how to on how to do this, but with the problem i am runnin into , i dont want anyone havin.. i cant get the back end of the trunk to lower down to be flush , and the latches keep unbolting... hinges work flawless
the next thing i will try is to lower the arms themselves with spacers to see if it will work , but i doubt it will.. if i could get the latches to stay it wouldnt be noticeable, so i am gonna try to rivet the latches on .. i put one rivet , then noticed i ran out and that is the only thing holding it in right now ..
ill update one what happens tommorow..
