Matthew
11-12-2004, 03:34 AM
Well, its been just a month or two shy of 2 years that ive had the p5, and i hit 20k on my way to monterey.

i know there are a lot of people with a lot more miles, but i hate turning over every 10k miles :(

SpicyMchaggis
11-12-2004, 03:41 AM
You JUST hit 20? wow...I'm at 40 on the body, 3k on the new bottom end 600 miles on the new head!

ah it's alright..at this point..I could of bought two turbo kits, a limited slip, had it installed by ghandi, AND bought a tank of gas and tic tacs.

Matthew

SpicyMchaggis
11-12-2004, 03:53 AM
well, haha..The DX comes with steelies. I put the 2003 LX enkei's on a while back..15's..but they are ballin mang! 15's with falken's on them..Sidewall is straight up rally style sans the rally..and style..but hey! It gets the job done and keeps it off the radar..

Matthew
11-12-2004, 03:54 AM
yea, you just crack me up. you are "that" guy that just refuses to give up on his car, and its funny yet admirable at the same time. i friend like that with his eclipse.

SpicyMchaggis
11-12-2004, 03:57 AM
well..thankfully, its not an eclipse! haha..Lucky for me, its a car that no one ever notices, even the ricers. That leaves me to take off the oil cap and dump horrendus amounts of money in without fear of insult and mockery. Well, at least not locally. Damn forums..

get out of my thread with your silliness.

I do really run 15.2@99mph I am in the process of moving packing up. I will post a picture of the slip in a couple weeks.

It is all about the ECU. I have Intake, Header, midpipe, Intake CAM from Sunbelt racing. AKA JIM who builds the Protege Speed cars. ECU has been reflashed about 6 or 7 different times. Well I along with another buddy is making flash software for Mazdas and Fords. So far it is kinda working. Works well with RX8 and Mazda6. Protege is just a bitch ECU from a ford ranger.

When I first got it, I lived 50 miles away from my work so we are talking 100 miles a day round trip, 6 days a week. I moved closer so now I'm going only 44 miles round trip. Also, my now ex-boyfriend was stationed in NC at Camp Lejune, so there was another 700+ every weekend. Throw in a couple trips to South Carolina, Indiana, Philly, etc theres the miles. (spin)

Bought mine Sept 9th 2001. Signed the Loan papers @ 8am Sept 11th 2001. Car just rolled over 67000 miles. I have replaced pads on all four rotors, in the process of replacing all 4 rotors as well as stainless steel lines, working on getting the radiator flushed with a 60/40 mix of Rad fluid and water, two sets of stock tires (thanks MikeR ;)), Tranny fluid, and 2-3 sets of spark plugs.

Are we suppose to replace belts at 60k?! I was unarware of that.

Uh oh...I have a challenger. I better get my car running again. When she comes out of the garage now she usually goes straight to the mountains for some testing and then gets put right back up for more adjustments and mods. alright, alright, here goes:

'02 P5 - 190,500 MILES(not kilos)

thank you, goodnight.

on a side note, has to be the most reliable car I have ever owned. major fixes were AC (pump fried at 80k), timing belt (at 175k - knock on wood), cooling flush, valve cover gasket, oil pan & gasket (rocks hurt), rims (more rocks). I've gone 45k without oil change too - I'm lazy as hell. now I gotta figure out this pinging.....

Bringing this post back to life..

My USGP trip managed to tack another 3900 miles on the car in 12 days..

Rolled over 121,000 miles as we rolled into July. Still original everything, with the exception of oil, air & oil filters, sparkplugs, and tires.
