I have a 2003 silver PR5 that has been in the shop for various problems. All were fixed under warrenty, but one is an ongoing problem.
3 times now the car has started missing out of the blue while doing nothing but daily driving. Each time it is the # 4 spark plug gap that has been smashed and had to be replaced. They say I have now other issues, and once it is replaced I am good to go for about another 10,000.
Anyone else came across this?
Any possible solutions?
Have been a Honda guy for years, but very pleased with the PR5.

There are a couple things that could happen. If you are running VERY lean in #4, you are overheating the plug's prong, which could be messing with your gap. Also, are you using extended reach plugs of any sort? If so, just run back to OEM or similar plugs.
The only other thing I could think of is that you have some material in your #4 chamber, destroying the plug, but you would also see wear on your valves, piston, and chamber walls.

I am running the OEM plugs. It almost seems the piston is hitting the plug or something. Destroys the gap and causes major miss.

How often you guys changing your plugs? And have you changed them yourself?

I'd take the car to another dealership and get a second opinion, especially if you're still under warranty. I just replaced my plugs at 31k and never had a misfire. The service interval for plugs should be around 30k, so your plug's 10k life span is too short to ignore.
Does the #4 plug look any different (aside from having no gap) from the other plugs; carbon buildup, etc.?

It happened at 8000 miles and again at 15000. Got 20 right now and nothing so far. All work done by the same dealer. Also had an electric module go out and screwed the entire transmission up. Would not go out of second gear. After replacing the entire trans, they found the module went bad and have been good to go since then.

I read somewhere else on these forums about a similar problem.
He went back numerous times, as well. Not till some serious damage occurred was it found that a VTCS/VICS screw had come loose and it or some other component had been sucked into the cylinder.
If they tell you you have no problems, get something in writing that says so. And keep records of all the visits, so that if some bad shit happens, you have proof that they told you nothing was wrong.
