How tight do you guys crank these? I want to be sure I have a perfect seal, but I am afraid of going too tight, particularly on the stock IC connections and MAF since they are plastic.

Try a little RTV on the inside. The MAF isn't necessary since there is no pressure.

Well, there is no pressure through the MAF now... but I have plans.. hehe.

um, all my IC and Intake pipes are just tightened as far as they go and I have not crushed anything  so you should be OK tightening the maf uber hard. They are cheap from a jy if you break one anyways, fits right in the pocket too.

I can't get them very tight at all with just a screwdriver, so I use a ratchet. I'm pretty sure I could break something with that ratchet if I tried.

the stock worm style clamps dont hold enough torque before stripping out to crush anything the bad side is that they often dont get a good seal at high pressures...thats mainly why we use t-bolt style clamps which will indeed crush your maf and end tanks if you tighten it down too much...infact I was able to crush the end of our pipes with our clamps...

Use a bigger screwdriver?
That's what I did.
Those rat bastards are holding 8#s of fury!!!

Well, yeah but that would require buying a bigger screwdriver, hehe.
