I have a MSP and somehow I got a hole in the wastegate. Im deciding if I should just getg a new actuator(im pretty sure that will fix it), or get a new turbo. Any suggestions either way. Its not a question of money, just which one is the smarter move.

do you have a warranty? You should get a whole new turbo and possibly a new engine due to engine wear from overboosting if you bitch enough :D

yea, overboosting from the mbc and the fmic and the intake. too much work to take it all off if i can fix it with a new actuator...its only 70 or 80 bucks

I dont even know if you can buy just an actuator from mazda...I believe it comes as an assembly with the turbo...might find a used stock turbo???(dunno)

actuator would be easy because it's be easier to replace that the whole turbo... (I think) or at least it's a lot cheaper...

hmm, are you sure its not controlled by an actuator?? i know there is an actuator on there, and what would be the point of putting it on there if it didnt do anything?
