Is there a way to hook a mp3 player into the headunit in our cars? i would like to not have to carry cd's and change them all the time.

I'm pretty sure there is if you get an auxiliary port for the back, but I don't know all the details. If you search around I'm sure you'll find the answer though, I remember seeing some posts about it. I think I have a couple of links saved at home abuot this, I'll post them up when I get home if the question isn't answered by then.
Btw, put in that mp3 steering rack so I can see how it works. I'm thinking about it myself.

there is an aux port in the back of the unit. just plug rca cable from mp3 to that.

you need the aux adapter to give you the two RCAs, its $20 at crutchfield and may be cheaper elsewhere

yeah, i hooked up my iPod by getting the adapter from crutchfield....it plugs in where a CD changer would in the back of your deck

(mswerd) its about 20 bux as stated above. You have to get this for aux inputs.
