a couple days ago, while trying to take off my upper ic pipe, i couldn't find vice grips to stick on the clamp that holds the bpv hose to the ic pipe nipple. so i figured, the hell with it i'll just take the ic pipe off, and since the bpv hose is made of flexible rubber, surely it would bend before any of the plastic would break! i pull on the ic pipe, and POP!!! sheared the bpv hose nipple clean off the ic pipe. of course i was angry at first, both at myself and at the crappy plastic, then i saw that the nipple was GLUED ON FROM THE FACTORY. shame on me for putting any trust in mazda's craftsmanship. so anyway, i epoxied it back on and drove 1.5 hours back to college. checked everything out when i got there. it held boost and didnt seem to be leaking at all! well tonight i was "driving sportily" and i noticed an odd whine, and paid no attention to it. then i noticed the car was somewhat sluggish...ignored...THEN i noticed the car start to try to die after the turkey...checked under the hood, sure enough the nipple wasn't on at all anymore. i had to drive it back to where i parked, and i noticed the car STILL HELD 7 psi of boost, which is what it runs stock! i find that strange since there's a relatively large hole in the ic pipe...also noticed the turkey is a bit louder and much longer when i dont have any bpv...anyway, i got some jb kwik tonight, and hopefully that'll hold. any other suggestions other than buying a new ic pipe? jb kwik says it's good for up to 300 degrees...

LOL, I did the same fucking thing while installing my Injen CAI. I used this stuff from home depot called gorilla glue. I just sanded down a little on both surfaces, applied the glue, and let it set overnight. Worked great. (of course, then I ordered turbohoses hardpipes...fuck that plastic crap!)

JB should work well. If you've got time, I suggest the JB Weld in the red and black. That's the regular one. It takes a good 12-24hrs to get to full strength, but it's much stronger. The Qwik reinforced by the regular should be good for years to come.

I may be wrong, but I could swear that someone else has done the same thing on here. So don't feel bad. lol

for your information, dick, i did do a search. i search all the damn time, mr. dick. and why would i search before i posted something that happened to me? that's like racing an integra and not posting the kill story because there's already a thread about someone beating an integra. everyone wonders why people freak out all the fuggin time on forums, it's cuz of people like you who are ass wipes for no reason cuz they think they're kings of online message boards.
/end rant
on a side note, (yes the topic has become a side note), epoxy didnt hold. jb kwik didnt hold. jb kwik and scoring the surfaces has held so far. (knock on wood)

yup and repeat posts make this forum repetitive and boring. if you did search you would have found out to take the charge pipe you need a heat gun or hair dryer to loosen the connection from the turbo to the intercooler inlet.

i'll say it once again: I DID DO A SEARCH. and what does that thread have to do with my situation? i've taken that ic pipe off 4 times now, without the "help" of that thread.

i would fork over 300 bucks for hardpipes(believe me, i'm not a big fan of ghetto rigging stuff), but i just forked over around 400 bucks for corksport exhaust, so the ghetto rigging will continue i suppose... :p

well you could buy mine and only have to fork out $200...regardless if you buy mine, turbohoses, or anyone elses I def suggest getting a set of hardpipes now...that ghetto hold will only last so long...
