I just installed this last night and man I feel a big difference. I put an Apex 2.5 catted DP on this weekend and I just put the SMIC on last night. The SMIC feels really good, I got a lot more performance from the SMIC then with the DP. It is nice and a perfect fit. Easy installation, it only took me about 1 hour and 15 minutes to do.

This is what I expected to hear about the Turbohoses SMIC, given the data and information I've gathered. I guess I should be receiving a message from ********** anytime now telling me that my Turbohoses SMIC is in.
I hope you don't mind, but I have a few questions:
(1) Did you install the SMIC by yourself?
(2) Do you have the OEM pipes or the Turbohoses hard pipes? I ask because I have the latter.
(3) Did you check to see if your boost rose after the installation of the SMIC?
Thanks

1. Yes I did and it only requires about 2 or 3 different sockets and a flathead screwdriver.
2. I have the turbohoses hardpipes.
3. I do not have a boost gauge yet so I couldn't tell. But it does spool up at 3200rpms now.

sounds cool, I got one waiting to be installed, but I think I'm going to upgrade the motor mounts first to keep the stress off the pipes.

the only thing that i am worried about is the performance during the summer.....it hasnt really been tested in the hot summer heat like the FMIC's have been....id like to eventualy get the SMIC but due to that one lacking fact and piece of info, im a bit reluctant. but, hell yea, congrats man! oh, snap a few pics if you can, show her off!

That was my Apex catted DP!
Glad the SMIC is working out for you. I'm hoping to get this POS SMIC out of my car and something better on instead.

I will try to get some pics. I need to borrow my friends digital camera. I see that you are in Charlotte so it probably gets a lot more humid and hot over there. My stock IC wasn't getting heat soak very bad out here in the summer, so I think I am good next summer with this one in. I did drive it around all last night trying to heat up my motor to see if the performance would drop but it didn't.

It is and I thank you much for selling it to me. Thanks it has been working out real good so far. YOu should see the difference when you hold the stock IC next to this one. It is a huge difference.

Hey Yay, are these your only mods? Where in the Bay Are are you? I'd love to take a look and possible a ride in your car. I'm waiting on a Wagner DP, which should be similar to the Apex piece and am considering a SMIC.

I only have the DP, SMIC and Hard pipes. I live over in Richmond. We could set up something so you could see them. I have been really busy at work so I haven't been able to do much lately. Where do you live in SF?
