I have seen a couple of the P5's with the Laser Blue, that is really annoying I find.

NOt a big deal, but pretty annoying. Why make a special addition, and then turn around and copy it.

Dunno,

Not so much the P5 that pisses me off, but the damn sedan! Now youre gonna have family members and clowns that have NO idea about cars saying shit like...." Oh yeah, my friend has a car JUST LIKE YOURS!"

yea that does kinda tick me off but I don't think that will be as popular a color as sand mica or black its a little to loud for most people... I hope

Not only the P5, those Protege LX also have this colour....
Damn it, we should go complain that to Mazda!!! :bs: :bs:

And the stupiest thing is that they got a blue laser protege for rent too!!!!:wtf: :(

and you KNOW that someone is going to get the LX, and they are going to get the front end, the side skirts, the rear apron and the wing....and be PRETENDING they have MP3's....

well let them pretend....its not the real thing......I would hate to think that one of them is going to end up selling it to some unsuspecting person down the road that doesn't know the difference....or that is smart enough to do their homework and know that the MP3 was only made ONE year.

Yeah I'm fine with the P5, but I think having the sedans that color just means a poser out there for sure will be saying they drive an MP3. Or on the flip side, someone will accuse me of not having one.

GIVE IT A BREAK!

what about all those guys that have the yellow mp3? should they be pissed that the pro5 comes in that color, too? you do know that the mp3 is only an $18000 car, right? it's not like you spent $30k on a car to find out that the $13k version is now available in the same color combo.

Mazda has done this a few times with the Miata too...

It is a popular color, Mazda wants to make money. Let them. I'm not threatend by someone in a similarly colored car as mine, I know I have an MP3...

And remember, we have a production number, they don't. Plus anyone in their right mind who wants to buy an MP3 used, should check the VIN. It would be a smart car buyer's choice to run the VIN anyway.

just to play devil's advocate(laugh) but the first blue like that that I can remember was on a 92-93 acura integra gs after that it was on the 99 civic Si older bmw m3 too and just the other day I saw a pt cruiser in blue
In my opinion I love the blue, but I think it would be even better if Mazda came out with a color that no other car company has had, kinda like the 2001 bmw m3 in magenta blue ( not sure if that is the name of the color, but my friend just bought one and its sweeeeet)
I cant wait to see the orange mazdaspeed on the street
Now thats a dope color
Sorry guys just throwing in my own thoughts

Alright already, everybody calm down. Its just a color. (damnit why didn't they have it available when I bought mine, you punk bastards). Anyway there only using the color its not like they put the MP3 interior in the ES or used the MP3 bumpers and rockers. The color is just popular blue mettalic paints are popular these days. I saw a PT in a similar blue the other day too, and it was pretty.

I just wish Mazda would create a P5 with an MP3 style suspension and with the MSP turbo, Hmmm thats an idea.

This (bluemp3) plus this (redp5) plus this (mspo) =(yippy) (yippy) (yippy) (2thumbs) (2thumbs)

Yeah, I personally don't care to be the ONLY yellow Protege on the street anyways. I smile when I see the "Vivid Yellow" Protege5 driving on the other side of the road. So rare and beautiful. Hee hee.

If that pisses you off you should check your dealer. You can now buy an "MP3 Package" with any new protege sedan.

Exactly what is the MP3 Package, I didn't see it on Mazda's website. Is it just an Audio Option ?

I'm guessing he is referring to a price for the parts to make the MP3 body kit. Although, I guess it could be the Mazdaspeed Protege kit as well.

I saw a white one at the local dealership. I stopped and looked it over. It had the same rearend and sides as the MP3 but a different front, looked mostly stock. It had different racing harts and the rear wing. It had a stock head unit. I think it also had the suspension. The hole thing was like a $5000 option.

I will check back with the dealer to see if they had anymore to look at further.

There is no "MP3 package" from factory, but you can buy most of the parts to turn a regular Protege ES into an MP3 from a dealer (I'm not sure about the computer and seats.) Dealers can install the parts and call it whatever they like. My local dealer was going to do the full body kit, suspension, stereo and wheel and tire package to an ES after they sold their last MP3. Only problem is it would end up costing a lot more than the MP3 so they scratched it. I'm sure we'll see more dealer modded cars from the Mazdaspeed dealers once they start getting parts.

My dealer is in the process of dressing up a laser blue LX to look like a Speed World Challenge car with the full sticker package and different wheels and suspension. Should look pretty good.

This thing was called the MP3 package, thats what cought my eye becuase it had MP3 in big writting on the windshield. When I got out and took a closer look it said MP3 package. THe sticker was around $22K if my memory is working right. Being that this is getting into WRX territory I think everyone thought it steep. I only saw 1. ALso this is the dealer that tried to F with me so I don't go there anymore.
