ANY THOUGHTS ON WHAT IS LISTED BELOW WILL BE GREATLY APPREIATED!
I have gotten to know my dealership very well sense getting my MSP in April 2003. This is the list of the last few problem i had checked out my last visit.
I brought the car in and gave them this list:
1. Fuel cut at stock boost when cold out.
2. crunch from the front bushings when cold out.
3. CEL comming on all the time.
4. Radio working but not displaying anything.
5. 30K mile check-up
Here is what they said:
1. MAF bad, causing the cut.
2. there was no play in them so we just lubricated them.
3. CEL caused by bad MAF.
4. We had to order it from kenwood, might be a week.
5. OK, but only if you give us $417.
Here is what i noticed:
1. MAF replaced and the cut is still there
2. Still crunches but car feels better.
3. No CEL yet, but it hasent been long.
4. Guess I have to wait.
5. Fiance SP? shocked at what it cost.
I know this is long but i have to get this all out. I brought it back right away because it was still hitting fuel cut, they told me that the MAF may have fried the PCM.
To top it off i get a crapy Cavy for a loaner.
I am getting to the point where I will trade it in for an SRT-4, but i dont know what will be worse, having all these problems with the PCM, or driving a fast as hell Neon that might fall apart.

what was their reasoning for you having to pay money? All That should be covered under warranty

My guess is the Injen and exhaust is causing your fuel cut. I've never heard of anyone that's TOTALLY stock (i.e. stock air box and stock exhaust) that is hitting the cut. I've driven in extremely cold weather purposely trying to get it to hit the cut and it hasn't happened.
30k checkup = not worth it
Front bushings = demand the 156A's - those don't crunch...although personally I'm not sure they 'perform' as good as the "normal" bushings
PCM = turd. Get the neon, that's the only answer.

hey girth, thats the number for the revised front bushings? Do you know the number for the old bushings? Also happen to know if there was a tsp issued on the bushings?? I'm goin back and forth with my dealer on this.

30k mile check-up is not covered under warranty.I never took mine in for that "optional" crap.
It did go in three times for repairs but that was it.

well..at least you didn't take it to dworkin. All that sans the 30k check up should be covered under warranty. a "fried" PCM..No, thats retarded. You could be hitting fuel cut for all sorts of reasons. If your MAF actually died, your primary 02 sensor is probably shot too..Thats probably why your hitting cut. Investigate.

well i did take it to dworkin, i have gone to modern motors in tomaston and they were ass holes. BTW I do not have the intake on at this moment and havent for a while and the exhaust is just an axel-back. Last time i broight it in for the cell they replaced mu O2 sensor because it was supposidlt causing the cell.
over all the car did feel tighter after the checkup, im sure a lot had to do with alignment.

I called the dealership and they told me it what the wastegate that was malfunctioning. They ordered a whole new turbo, because they cannot just order that part. I hope that the car will hold as much boost as it did before.

I have question. What exactly happens when you hit fuel cut. Is it under acceleration or just after you let off? and also do you get a CEL light? I am getting some bucking right after I let off the gas but not when I have the pedal to the floor.

.....so why isn't he allowed to post if he's having problems? There's no need to be a dick because someone is frustrated that things aren't going well with their car.

~brianthank you. I thought this was a forum where i could just let my thoughts out and see what some other people might say. I also guess by doing that i have to deal with the people that cant play nice with others.

Sorry Lamp, I didn't read your question until just now (f-ing POS hair-brained subforums...God I hate them). Anyway, the part number for the "revised" front bushings is: BN7H-34-156A. The old part was the same number minus the 'A' at the end.
Just for reference, the rear bushing part number is BN7H-28-156E.
