Anyone have recommendations for used MPV's. Any reoccurring problems with 1993 thru 1996 models? Reliable? Expensive to repair? No parts? Gutless accleration?
Really would like to know, for I am interested in picking up one for a everyday driver/delivery van.
Thanks for any and all info you might privide.
Although I do not own that year model but the newest 2004 MPv.. it really does handle and accelerate like a car... if you can get a 99- current.... they look great and are fantastic on the room and comfort..

I don't own one either but I notice an area devoted to MPVs over on mazdaworld.org
I do remember reading some years ago that the first generation MPV wasn't exactly the cat's ass with the consumer reports people. Wish I could remember exactly why...Go have a look at mazdaworld

I was looking into getting one for a tech type vehicle... But the non-sliding rear door made me not want one as much. :)
There is a Japanese motor that pretty much bolts into the 88-95 models. I have never heard of anyone doing that before, but in theory, it is possible. Turbo V-6 JFT (I think it's a 3.0L).... Now that would be a fun MPV. :)
There's some amazing body kits and other pieces for the newer body style ones. They look good all kitted up.
