Even after the first day that I took delivery of my Mazda 6, the driver side door has had this anoying rattling sound, 4700 kilometers later, the driver side door rattling sound has increased dramatically as well as rattling from the passenger side door and both rear doors, headliners on both sides and these past 2 days, I've noticed a new rattling sound coming from the dash. Now, I know Mazda fixes this crap under warranty, but it will come back just as it di with the Mazda 3. I can hear rattles in my sleep after a one hour drive in the car. How should I proceed after having Mazda take a look at the vehicle and if the sounds come back which for sure they will. And for how many hours minimum do they have to keep my car so that I get a courtesy car?

This sounds like a sucky situation because usually what happens is that the dealer cannot "find" or replicate the problem. For any warrantly repairs in the US, you get a loaner car no questions asked.

If you noticed the rattling sound from day one, why didn't you inform the dealer right away?

well depends...if it's not covered then you have the car rental bill after being under the assumption it was covered. make shure it is covered and in righting before getting a loaner ;)

no, it's all covered, but my concern is of the sounds coming back. The only thing that was ratling since day one was the friver side door and that was when I would put the music loud, now it does not matter if the music is loud and if it's cold or hot outside, there are rattles all over the place driving me nuts.

yeah the bass from the speakers can make just about anything rattle due to low frequency resonance occuring. If you turn the radio off do you get rattles?

Yeah the front speakers sound good until you turn them up loud enough to hear them. Then they rattle like crazy. It's a shame really, because it sounds like something that could easily be fixed with a littler more padding and insulation inside the doors around the speakers.

You really like that braindead icon eh? Most of these issues with the rattling sounds when you blast those bose speakers are normal for this car. It's just the way the vehicle was constructed. I'm not sure what the dealer will do for you except tell you just that.

Previous altima had bose sound, my sister loved blasting it, car never rattled, EVER from anywhere up until the first accidents started.

my rattles now consist of sunglass holder w and w/o sunglasses and the passenger tweeter... I'll take it in when I go back to replace the ford pully again.

Just an update on this thread: I noticed that my front driver's side door also rattles now though very slightly (you can only hear it when music is off). However, my car rattles like anything when I turn the Bose Audio up enough to hear it nicely. The bass makes thing buzz and it kinda sucks cuz what's the point of this Bose system if you can barely turn it up before you get all this rattling?

What's the solution to this rattling noise problem? Should I take mine back to the dealer as well? I'm afraid they'll make things worse ripping stuff apart.

So it sounds like these issues with rattling are not isolated to a few individuals but common to a lot of 6 owners.
