Just curious... can you control the boost by adjusting the bolt attached to wastgate? I read somewhere that you could, or you could control the boost spike. If so... which way to you adjust the bolt?

Turn it to the right

so... shorten the rod? read somewhere that a full turn is .5 psi?

you can control it... but it still has the inherent flaws of the wastegate... so much of your spiking and the like will stay.. adjusting that bolt basically changes you max boost... everything else stays essentially the same.... it's more complicated than that... but that is the basics.

the stock actuator only has a 1-2psi adjustment zone...adjusting it outside of this is very dangerous...but yes you want to shorten the rod....atpturbo actually sells different psi actuators for the t-25...i believe they have a special on 17psi ones now for $100, though our motor wouldnt like that....

If you want to adjust boost it can be done much more easily and in some ways more accurate by just using a boost controller... anything from the manual controller we sell up to some of the crazy advanced electronic controllers.

I was just hoping that I could adjust it to decrease my spike. How damaging is the spike? (set at 10psi spikes sometimes to 14psi)

Spike can be damaging if the fuel isn't there for it.. and it isn't easy on the internals...
Do you have the stock T25 still or not? I'm surprised you can crank the wastegate enough to get it all the way up there! If you really want to eliminate the spike, find an MBC you trust and that will be cheapest way to get rid of it.
EDIT: Looking up at your sig it says that you are using a JoeP MBC... that is where your spike may be coming from as well... turning that down "may" help... otherwise you need a different style of MBC... Like mine :D. Joe's is good, but people do have spiking issues with it.
Have a good one!

Actually... my spike occurs in the 3500-4500 rpm range, and according to my dyno, I am very rich there. So I hope it's not that damaging. Yea... I expect it comes from the mbc. I was thinking about getting a Profec B II from **********. Is it a hard install/config?

It's an easy install... I have one... but some of the Profec's really suck and end up creeping massively (like mine). But a lot of people have good luck with them.. so who knows! But that would/should solve your problem.

Really? creeping isn't good either! lol
Get rid of one problem, encounter another.

true, but some not all have encountered that problem.. some claim it is settings but I tried a LOT of settings and mine always creeped.. and BAD... I'd go from like 10 psi to 16 psi in 4th gear..
