98 Mazda Millenia 2.5L hissing when turning off [Archive]

So, I just recently fixed a hose in the engine compartment that was off

Which caused the CEL to come on.

I figured this hose was causing the 'shhhhhhh' noise I heard when I turned the car off. Well I reattached the hose, and it's still making the noise, the CEL is off though.

Any ideas what this noise could be, or how to go about troubleshooting it?

any mods to the car? sounds like what my intake does when i turn mine off

nah, no mods to the car.. just bought it used w/107k miles.

Is it a pretty loud hiss for like 2-3 seconds?

Is it supposed to make that noise? lol

my 2003.5 Protege5 hisses after I turn it off... Just assumed it was normal?

I don't think the hiss I'm hearing is normal, o well I'll keep at it till I find out
