Well Whore and Whorets.
My newly acquired all metal allen head screw has brought the pure bliss of steady blow back to my Little Nubian Road Ninja.
Yes, the plastic screw has been expunged by fate from my Little Joey P MBC and now it is pushing 13PSI of love through my equally weak plastic IC pipes.
The boost grabs you by the genitalia and slaps you about the neck and shoulders like a Kerry supporter at a gun show. (nuts)
+50k, 13PSI, 90k smiles, and all is well with the world.

so is 13psi safe to run on stock internals or what?

It is for me but maybe your rods will take a shit at 12.99PSI
Heck, I have hit 16PSI about 15 times during the wastegate fiasco.
I have hit 15PSI on more occassions than I can recall I must have hit it 3 times tonight alone.
Now I won't do this in the morning I will lower it to 13PSI max.
But do not do as I do because the build quality is all over the map for our beloved little MSP's. Mine is fine after 50k miles but yours make EXPLODE!

so in other words you would recommend me going to 12psi max with stock internals?

booooomWell maybe but as of now I have roughly 630, 82.5+ mile days and so far so good. I have had it running like this from +100 degrees to just 19 degrees above 0 for coming up on a two year time frame and it runs just like the day I installed the boost controller. Do watch out for a vicious CUT in colder weather. I always keep my foot out of the loud pedal if it is below the 30's only half throttle runs. Perhaps the cut has been my saving grace, perhaps not.
I put 4 quarts of Mobil 1 in and I get 4 qaurts out when I chagne it every 6,000 miles. No odd sounds, no hesistation, no bad milage or cels just lots of smiles and miles. Heck, my clutch and original brake linings are still in good shape. All I have had to change (besides oil/filter) has been my tires and that was at 33k miles!
Many that have blown their motors abused their cars, boosted hard in 5th, used under drive pulleys, used FCD's, or ran lower octane gas. Some may have been victims of factory defects.
My car runs great and has done so at 12-13PSI for 10's of thousands of miles.
I know my cars limits and I abide by those limits.
And of course I installed a boost gauge prior to installing the MBC.

i was actually thinking about buying one of these manual boost controllers next. and from the looks of it, everyone that has them are very pleased with it!

Until they went boooom! It's a "handle with care" and "at your own risk" thing... So many variables, just the weather can change things a lot. Here it's cold already and I took my MBC off cuz I can hit fuel cut even stock!!

I don't know if my set-up was to blame but no matter what I could never make the MBC back down below 12psi or higher after a few months of use. Fuel cut is horrible in the slightest of cool temps with an intake and open exhaust. However, fuel cut is your friend if you don't want to create a two inch hole in your block. I'll enjoy stock boost on my free breathing car before I go back to the unusuable torquey feeling of the mbc above stock boost.
Enjoy the rejuvinated car Yash.

I would really love one of hose GLH (?) turbo back exhausts. I know it would pull insanely well with it installed.
My MBC will go from 9PSI to over 16PSI. So far the MBC has proven fairly reliable.

I think youre the most successful msp boost upper in a stock engine form.
Kudos to you. On another note, we need to have another Ft Worth and Area get together.
