I work for a company that produces rear seat delete kits for all year model mustangs. we are looking at branching out into the imports and other american cars. We are looking for donors for any car, any year it doesn't matter. And in return for you letting us use your car to design a rear seat delete, you will have the opportunity to purchase the kit for your car for half off our normal price. if you are interested, please pm me or email spurlock_performance@yahoo.com
Note to mods: I am not trying to advertise our products, we are just looking for donor cars, not customers.

what the hell is a rear seat delete kit?

it is a kit that replaces the rear seat of your vehicle, and gives it a factory custom look. the over all bonus of this is you save anywhere between 20 and up to 50 pounds of weight (depending on make/model/year of vehicle) which as any person that races knows, the lower weight, the faster the car. a lot of the kits we have done for mustangs, people have knocked off any where between 1/10th to 3/10th of a second of their quarter mile times
if you have anymore questions, please feel free to post them here, or email me

the back seats don't even weigh that much(maybe 25 lbs)...and to knock off 1/10 you will have to remove more around 100lbs of dead weight...do you have any pics or something, this just doesn't make sense to me lol, what exactly are you "replacing" the seats with, a piece of plastic or something...

The rear seat (both upper and lower) weigh 23lbs. Not to be stomping on your ground but that is the actual weight. Thats approx. .02 of a second.

they use an anti-gravity device. thus actually decreasing the force of gravity and making the car significantly lighter.

10 bucks says, it's bs and they replace the back seats with some cheesy plastic piece that looks "custom" and probably weighs as much as our seats :D

are there any pictures of examples maybe on a mustang so we can get an idea of the work done?
so that we have an idea of what it will look like at least.

I took the rear seats out of my first MSP after I wrecked it. They are completely foam and fabric. Let me reiterate this COMPLETELY FOAM and FABRIC. The only thing you could save weight on is maybe taking out the seatbelts(bang) (confused)

i'm glad to see that there are some people on here that are truly interested in what we have to offer. Our kits are made out of 1/9" wood, cut to fir the car, and carpeted with light weight automotive carpet to give it a nice factory look. The colors we get match most interiors out there. and if you have a custom color, we can probably get that too. to see example pics of the 94-04 mustang coupe kit, you can go to www.geocities.com/spurlock_racing. If you are interested in letting us use your car as a donor, email or pm me.
thanks again for the interest.

Why would anybody want to have a 4 door or a 5 door car without back-seats?

agreed ... seems like you'd lose a helluva lot of functionality ...
