anyone know where i can find instructions for installing: kb bushings, awr motor mount, and apex dp (w/cat) ?

searching didn't yield many results ... i know it's not hard, but i'd like to have an idea of what i'm doin before i just roll under my car and start unscrewing things.

thanks.

I know Apex has instructions on their website for install of their DP. Its pretty straight forward and easy.

thanks - i'll scan their site.

seems like the bushings and motor mount will be easy (according to everyone here on the forums that say it takes about half an hour tops), but i'd just like an overview of what i'd be doin.

ok, motor mount can be done at any time.
but u should do the bushings AFTER you remove the stock downpipe and BEFORE you put the apex on.
it will make it much easier.

good luck.
all three of those mods are very good.

thanks for that tip. considering the timeline for install, i'm thinking i should be able to do all three in one swoop.

If you need help, depending on my schedule, I'm up for it. I helped Chief Boon put his DP on a few weeks ago..

sounds good.

i gotta run by muffin mufflers tommorrow b/c when i had my catback done, they welded the catback section to the stock 'downpipe'. im just gonna bring the apex with me, measure it off, and say cut the pipe here and weld on a flange.

i'd probably do it saturday sometime, so i don't know how available you are.

PM me with any time you might wanna help out.

does anyone think they could snap a few quick undercarriage shots? maybe do a quick little "replace this this, screw that" kinda description?

any help is much appreciated.

ya i found that searching yesterday. after reading that, i gotta go pick up some washers (bought the dp used, and it didn't come with them).

main pic(s) that i need would be to help me figure out the bushings and motor mount installation.

t3ase - would you still be interested in helpin me out? i'll probably check in with auzzie_mp3 (alex) and see what he's up to on saturday if you wanna join.

I've gotta work M-S, Sunday being my only real day off. As far as the mount, there's a how to on one of the forums. I don't remember it being a true "how to" but in one of the many threads, it speaks about it. Basically, there are only two bolts holding the front one in. Use a breaker bar if you have one to get the nuts off and then just swap out the pieces.

sounds good. i'll scan around and see if i can uncover what you're talkin about.

ya usually sunday is my 'hang w/ gf day', so depending on if i can get away, i could get to work on the car (but most likely not). i got a few friends from a&m comin in this weekend, and so we'll probably be putting stuff on.

The rear one is a pain but the difference is worth it. The vibration is *not* as bad as it's played out to be; I was expecting a lot worse and I was also expecting to somewhat please the girls sitting in the passenger seat since that was stated in one thread. The vibration only exists in extremely low near-stall RPM or in reverse (at low RPM).

If you have some guys helping, do the rear.

i can deal with the vibrations, i think. and 10 to 1 chance my gf can also (crazy)

does awr have any kind of instructions on their website?
