Will your boost increase under the following conditions?
1. Colder weather
2. Higher octane gas
Just like that, quick and easy.

gas no
cooler weather maybe just a little under 1 psi.

You don't make more boost with colder temps, you make more HP with lower temps. I think it's 1HP, for every 10 degrees down. Higher octain (sp) doesn't give more HP also. It will help if you over boost and don't want to detonate (sp).

Well, my stock boost has gone from 6.5 to about 7ish (consistantly now) and once I saw 7.5. The only changes have been weather and gas. Not a bad thing I guess, but just wanted to know.

yea maybe someone can help me out here. More colder air shouldn't really give you more boost, but if our computer/sensors saw a better fuel ratio/octain/air temp , maybe our cars can adjust boost up and down on their own. Our cars must look at the situation and adjust accordingly up and down. I don't know....I could be off here. I do know though that every 10 degrees down, you get another 1hp.

Hahaha! I gain 6-7hp from summer to winter. But yeah, the increase in boost is boggling.

I noticed that a few mornings ago...my MSP took on an all-new form, boosting a lot easier in first gear. She really seemed like she was a totally different car in the colder weather, no bogging at all.

Boost will increase in cold weather. Thats why they call it "cold dense air". Thats also why VW gives you two different specs. for boost levels below a certain temp. and above.
Mazda just says anything above zero is spec.
