LOL

Yes, those are F1's... pretty good tires, awesome in rain, but Potenza's corner alot better than the F1 GS-D3's do.

You have to brace yourself, the passenger seat doesn't have a 5 point harness.

Great pic! Though from all the dirt under the car and the flying cone, I'd say you were a bit off line. Now, dial it back to 8/10ths and start placing the car correctly and watch your overall times fall. Learn a smooth driving style without abrupt control inputs and push the car up to the edge of adhesion, without going over to sliding. This is best done on street tires, so your Goodyear F1 GS-D3s will work fine for you. Listen to the car, grasshopper! Enjoy!

Couldn't have said it better myself... and another general tip to anyone new to the AutoX world... look ahead... know what your going to be doing 2 turns from where you are now... it will give you a much better line... you'll set yourself up for better exit speeds from the corner... and much smoother run... you'd be surprised how much time you can shave from your run if you drive it smooth...

I went to the event last weekend at the Silverdome... it was freezing and rainy in the morning, but it was a good event, and I walked away a happy man, claiming first in STX. It was my first event in months on street tires as I ran R's all summer.

I believe I heard people talkign about another event in MI in a couple weeks. Check out www.myautoevents.com (http://www.myautoevents.com) and do a search for events in MI.

It's not dirt, it's rubber. The surface at the airport, was almost like sandpaper, just turning your car around left major rubber. Fun track, but very hard on tires.

4 pt? I know you have one, just not at the airport? Maybe I'm thinking of Steve's.
