Just curious how many of you all flip flop every week between hating and loving your msp....i went from loving it when i bought it to hating it the second week i had it, to throwing $800 in mods at it, only to put it back to stock in an attempt to sell it a month later, and now I've gotten into producing parts for the damn thing.....dude its almost as bad as being married...Im sad to say that my mood for the day is directly related to how my car performs on the way to work.....

lol, my mood changes depending on what sounds my car decides to make while driving.

haha, I cant say I really hate my msp at all being it is a daily driver and I couldnt really ask for a better daily driver. However when I feel like doing some real work to her or tuneing the car pisses me off to no end. A WRX is easier to tune than this thing. But like I said its my daily driver so mods are lite and few and far between I only have fmic, exhaust, mbc (and guages) just about to buy an mpi tuner because im sick of sfac tuneing (or lack there of)
This car is some odigy of modern tuneing in the way it loves to stay rich..

Same here! When I have doubts I go for a spin, and I come out smiling again! :)

my mood is directly proportional to the volume of the rattle i'm getting from the front passenger side seatbelt

It depends. Sometimes I love it and other times I'm disappointed with it.

I cannot afford to hate it. I still have many payments left. Only problems I have had have been fixed, the flash and bushings. So all in all its been a fun car to own. Especially after modifying it!

My answer would be different if I would of had some of the problems that you encountered. Hope you get everything straightened out and get some enjoyment out of it.

For me, it all depends on the weather. Sometime the car would rattle and make all sorts of weird noises and sometimes it would sound solid as the first day I bought it. So I guess I love my car when it rains and hate it when it's hot and dry.

Some days I get rattles and squeaks and creeks coming from everything, the car is slow and hesitates, and nothing seems to be right on it. Then the next day it's as solid as a BMW, pulls hard through all the gears, and everything works perfectly. The car is about as tempermental as my girlfriend.

Mines depends on the sound I hear when taking off from a stop and if I can smoothly run through 3-redline with no hesitation.

I made a post just like this a few months back.

I love my MSP, but it is a royal pain in the ass, then the next day, its the greatest car on the road.

I really dont know what it is, i dont hear anyone talk about there msp the way we do. Its a bitch one day, and a angel the next. I will miss my msp to no end, but i have decided to sell and move on to something new. I still have a huge msp poster frammed above my computer, it will never leave.

I love mine a lot, except for stupid little things that make me frustrated such as....

"the Clunk" and fuel cut at stock boost.

I love my Mazdaspeed....yes the clunk pisses me off, the blown sub pisses me off, the creaking front suspension pisses me off.....but still, I love hearing her turbo scream through the gears, and the wonderful sounds of just driver her(so long as I can hear over all the noises) I still lover her, the only thing I might ever trade her for are things like the STi, Evo(if it ever comes to Canada) or, if it's a good car, the MS6..or MS3

I like my MSP....though I have only had it for a little bit. I had to mod like crazy, but with the additions....I like it more.

I absolutely hate the tranny...no surprise there. I would like to get it more responsive too. Turbo lag is a bitch.

So that's where it's coming from!! I've going nutz trying to figure that! (argh)
And next Tuesday I'm going to the dealership with the firm intention to get my klunk fixed, whether they like it or not! (chair)

i never really hate it at any point, i just have my heart set on getting a bmw 328ci or a lexus is300. one of those 2 will be my next car, and i have that goal set. so right now im happy with the MSP but cant wait til i can get one of those... probably in a year or so.

I still love my 'Speed, but 2 months after I got it, I got a promotion that meant $14k more a year. So, now I had the money for the STI I wanted but couldn't afford. Oh well, I just doubled my car payment so it will be paid off in 2 1/2 years. Then, I'll definitely be looking at what's out there!

I dreampt about the IS300 too. Almost bought one, but they are hard to find....and too expensive for what they are. Now an IS with an SRT stage II turbo....that is where its at. I did not like the fact that I would have to pay that much for a car, then save up more money to put $6,000 turbo in it. So I bought an MSP.....

After a few patent approvals, a sweet M3 or other sports car would be in the works ;)

For me it's wether I'm on the way to the dealership for service or if I'm on my way home after driving the rental for a few days.

I think about selling it once every few months, but then remember there is nothing else that would handle all aspects as well for anywhere near the price.

I would like to get it more responsive too. Turbo lag is a bitch.

After tomorrow this will no longer be a problem for you. Since I put on the hiboost fmic the car pulls cleanly now from 2,000RPMs all the way to redline, in any gear, with NO HESITATION.

I love my MSP, perfect daily driver, and when the sunlight hits that spicy orange paint all I can say is HOT DAMN!!!!

I think after I get the money to fix the fuel/engine management problem, then I'll be totally in love. It's really the only issue with my car. I hate having people drive with me, or if I'm trying to show off my car to a new person, and I get the damn hesitaion. Makes it look like my car is a POS or I don't know how to drive.
